Groomer (Danyel) should not be working there and needs to take classes on ethics and customer service!
A few months ago we took our dog in to be groomed. They didn't have her rabies on file. That was the 4th time in a row that we had to go next door to Banfield and get a copy of the rabies to provide them. I asked why it wasn't saved in there system when our other dogs were saved and Danyel proceed to shift the blame onto told Banfield, even though that's impossible since they have their own computer system. When we asked to speak to a manager, she then tells us that she is in charge and proceeds to blame shift again by telling us that now it's the computer systems fault, never taking responsibility for anything. To make things worse, Danyel proceeds to argue and make things up just to argue. I informed her that since she is in charge, that ultimately she is responsible, to which she then replied that she is not in charge of the computer system.
The next day I spoke with the store manager Sharlene, who apologized for Danyel and offered me a free grooming service for my dog if we would give them another chance.
Today we took another one of our dogs in for grooming and asked about the free grooming service. After 4 different employees read pages of notes under our account, Danyel comes out of the back and tells us that the free grooming would have to be at another location cause of what happened. She specifically said, "because of the situation with banfield our dog wasn't welcome at there salon."
I asked for the store manager Sharlene, who tells us that she personally put notes in the system to give us a free grooming service but then Danyel had gone back in the system and changed everything to say we weren't allowed there.
We went back up to banfield so we could get copies of our rabies vaccines to take to petco since we can no longer trust petsmart.
The store manager Sharlene gave us a gift card and apologized again for Danyel and informed us that Danyel was demoted from shift leader after the first incident and due to some other incidents since then. But the fact that Danyel is still working after deliberately lying about her customers and defying her own manager amazes me! Sharlene offered to pay for grooming at other petsmart locations to make things right. I shouldn't have to go to another location because an employee was so devious and conniving that she would treat customers this way and then change what her manager put in the system just to because she could. Sharlene was very apologetic but I don't know how petsmart can employ someone that does this to customers and her own managers. I guess the inmates run the asylum at petsmart. We will take our business to somewhere else. Hopefully petsmart corporate can figure out that this is ridiculous. Having an employee write notes about customers that are lies and then change the notes from the manager and still be employed is unbelievable!
