I rented a car in Phoenix on 12/15/23. I suspected I was charged twice so I contacted the customer service shortly after we left with the vehicle and noticed the charge on my account. I was told it wasn’t an extra charge and it was just a “hold” and would drop off. I checked my account this morning and one charge did fall off today even though they said it could take 5-7 days. I called this morning and it was confirmed my card was swiped twice! Now I’m being charged insufficient funds because of their mistake and apparently I just have to wait for it to drop off. No! I want the charges that they caused for insufficient funds paid back to me!
Claimed loss: Insufficient fund fees because of error on the company swiping my card twice.

NU Car Rentals - Additional fees
I booked through my company. When I originally booked it, I was charged $306.35 (tax included). When we arrived in AZ, after waiting 45 minutes for a shuttle to the rental place in 113° weather, I was told there would be an additional fee for a second driver. Fine as the $10 a day on. When we returned the car, I was charged numerous other charges as my statement indicates. In the end it cost me an additional $265.93 from the original statement at the time of booking this is by far the worst up charges I've ever seen.
