Transferred our prescriptions to CVS pharmacy in early June 2020 shortly after moving from CA.
(Previously had CVS pharmacy in Crescent City CA with excellent customer service.)
From the first time I tried to refill an RX in Prescott Valley, I was told I was not in CVS system by the clerk at the front desk. Eventually the pharmacist who was present helped, and he located my account and got my Rx refills processed.
Every following visit to get refills has resulted in the same type of problem, after which we explain the situation repeatedly and are assured everything is fixed.
My husband had open heart surgery in November, the day he was discharged, his Rx were sent to CVS. That night he was in terrible pain, and we couldn't find his pain Rx. Turns out CVS didn't fill it. Resulting in a midnight trip to the local ED and him staying overnight in the hospital due to pain. The cardiac surgeon had to step in.
A short time later there was another problem with his Rx. As I was "complaining/explaining to the counter clerk", the pharmacist present spoke up and told me to leave the store. Which I gladly did, but nothing straightened out.
Anyway, this sort of thing goes on and on. I began using the drive up service. My health insurance is associated with CVS.
This past weekend I ordered a refill of my insulin online, with a message that it would be ready on March 11 (6 days later). Today March 11, I called CVS to inquire about my insulin and they told me they had not received a response from the MD about the refill. Turns out they sent it to the MD I saw in CA who retired two years ago. I had repeatedly told them the name of my new MD here in Prescott Valley and not to contact the CA MD.
They said they would contact "her" and I repeated it was a "him" and the clerk got snippy with me. My MD has the same last name as another female MD locally, so I could envision the request going to yet another wrong MD.
Anyway, I called my MD to request a refill. At this time, waiting.
Desired outcome: For our accounts to be corrected to the MD name and some respect from the staff at CVS

I think all CVS' are getting bad. I am taking my Rx's out of our local one. They are so snippy especially when they see what prescriptions you are taking and then judge you by being rude. I have enough to worry about than to have to worry about the stress of getting my medications that help me cope with everyday. Done!
