I have been a Home Depot customer for many years and between appliances, carpet, windows, etc I spend 15-20 thousand dollars a year and have always been happy until recently. It seems the store in Waxahachie Texas no longer wants to use cashiers but wants customers to check out on the self checkout isles. There will be 2-3 employees at the self check out watching 2 customers but no one at a register to help out those of us needing assistance and not using self check out. However if you want to walk down to the pro desk and get behind 5-10 customers you can get a cashier. One would think that if so many people are going to the pro desk that maybe you should open up at least one register by the self check outs.Being disabled that is not an option. I have called thew manager twice in thew past month with this complaint and was assured there would be a cashier for us to use and both times I went back the next day and found the same thing. I do understand profits however many of us want to speak to a human being not self check out. I know what I spend is small in the grand scheme, however I feel this is my last resort to request change and if nothing changes I will then take my business elsewhere. Hoping for change.
