I visited the store in Elk Grove, CA, on three separate occasions, to get assistance with hardwood flooring. I would avoid going to the store altogether, but I cannot get the Veterans discount when ordering online. Home Depot touts that they are Veteran friendly, but don't believe it. Being unable to apply the Veterans discount to online orders is just one example. But to the real complaint. As stated I visited the Elk Grove store on 3 separate occasions, each time asking for assistance in flooring. The first 2 occasions, I asked several employees several times for assistance in flooring and waited almost an hour each time and got no assistance. On my 3rd visit, again I asked several employees for assistance in flooring, and was told to go to the flooring desk, to wit no one was there! I finally asked to speak to a manager/assistant manager and finally assistant manager Sheila came to the flooring desk where I was waiting. She tells me someone will be with me shortly. I made the comment, "Why did they send me to the flooring desk several times just to keep me [censored]ing waiting?" Understand after being brushed off several times before and waiting for assistance for assistance that never came, I was pretty perturbed. Well assistant manager Sheila confronts me and says "You don't need to curse at my associates" (which one the one that wasn't there?). Never mind that she (Sheila) didn't even bother to ask why I wanted to see a manager/assistant manager, just don't curse at my invisible associate. Of course I got even more upset with her attitude and asked her if she didn't want my business and should I leave. Sheila couldn't answer that. I ended up leaving with nothing I needed and no help. Terrible store. Will never shop Home Depot again!
