I placed a window order 6/12/21 with Home Depot, Home Depot Installation Services, and the Installation Services Coordinator Caleb Beickel ([protected]@homedepot.com). The order was for purchase and installation of Anderson windows for my home and rental unit. The order summarized as: 18+ windows, security bar removal, trash removal, trim and insulation, inspection, etc. This demand letter is for the restitution of numerous installation mistakes, hazardous conditions left on the property, supplies left by Home Depot and it’s associates on the property, and epic failures to follow through on agreements to address these issues in a timely manner.
Damages:
1) Documented visual and written evidence of faulty installation of windows. 2) Creation of dangerous and deadly conditions on property. The order was to remove iron security bars on an egress window. Only the center was cut and removed and the four posts left attached to the window frame, leaving very sharp iron shrapnel around an exit window. Visual evidence and recorded conversations.
3) Trim pieces not installed, leaving windows exposed to weather and pests. Visual evidence.
4) Damage to picture window sash and trim left unrepaired. Visual evidence. 5) Numerous pieces of window installation material left on-site without disposal or pick-up. Materials still on-site. Visual evidence.
6) Promises to monetarily reimburse for delays in delivery, faulty installation, damages, and hazardous conditions - all promises were never followed through by local, district and regional managers. Documented conversations with named individuals.
7) Certified Letter from Home Depot Resolution Manager Elizabeth Boyd to provide compensation for gross errors caused by Home Depot. Compensation was never delivered. Now it's unacceptable. Documented conversations.
8) Two windows were not installed in the kitchen of my rental unit. These windows and their installation were paid for. I’ve had to pay for new windows and their installation.
9) There was no final inspection of the windows.
10) I was harassed by employees locally and in management. Documented. 11) Other evidence to be presented in Court. Home Depot has shown libelous behavior in the execution of Job# [protected]. Defects in installation, dangerous conditions created on-site, windows paid for not received or installed, documented communications of lies and failed agreements to act, and repairs I had to pay for IN ADDITION to paying Home Depot for service not rendered. Essentially, I paid for services twice.
