I recently purchased two different Delta bathroom faucets (Port model and Portwood model) from the Home Depot in San Marcos, CA. Both faucets were on the shelf in zip-tied sealed boxes, but both had been previously sold and returned. One box had a missing part, and the other had a part covered with plumbers putty (clearly someone attempted to install and returned).
I spent several unnecessary hours trying to replace a bathroom faucet due to your deceptive practice of putting damaged products back on the shelf in boxes that appear to have never been opened. This is totally unethical and some of the poorest customer relations I have ever experienced.
I have been a frequent customer at the Home Depot franchise, but will take my business elsewhere in the future.
Desired outcome: I would like to be compensated $100.00 for the hour the plumber waited for me to return the faucet with missing parts, only to purchase yet another faucet that was returned with plumbers putty smeared on one of the parts.
