On July 16th I placed an order with Sears Outlet for a floor model kenmore refrigerator. I paid with a debit card and the money left my account immediately upon purchase. The price seemed reasonable and I needed to replace the fridge in my kitchen which had stopped cooling effectively, so time was somewhat of an issue. It took a long time for sears to get back to me for a delivery estimate- four days in fact- and when they did I was informed it wasn't going to be able to get to me for two to three weeks. Realizing I couldn't wait that long to have a working fridge I cancelled the order over the phone and bought another fridge from another company that delivered sooner. I asked for a refund at the time of cancellation, and I was assured I would see my money in 3-5 business days. 3-5 business days came and went, and nothing happened. I called in again to remind them of my cancellation, and got the same response: 3-5 business days and then I'd have my money back. Once again nothing happened. I called in a third time and explained this had happened twice already and I needed my refund ASAP as a refrigerator is not a negligible expense and I had effectively paid for two of them to solve my problem- and they gave me the same script and told me I'd have my refund. Here I am, over a month and a half later, still without a refund. I've tried emailing customer service, filling out reply forms on their website, and all to no avail. I had no idea how sketchy Sears outlet was, I've never had such a poor experience with a major outlet before.
