I booked a room at Ramada Inn 9150 Baymeadows Rd Jacksonville, FL, for Wednesday September 20 2023. The hotel is gling through remodeling currently. The pool is out of order. The cafe whcih usually serves breakfast is also out of commission. The elevators are being used for construction for the rooms, and there was concrete mud all over the walls, and they were not working properly, as I was stuck on the 4th floor for about 10 mins. Tha was scary. The carpets on the rooms, and in the hallways were stained and the smelled like wet dog, in the facility and in the stairwells, which I was forced to use after being stuck in the elevator the firs day. I have recently had open heart surgery and I get tired very easy, so using the stairs was a little difficult for me. The morning of the 21st I woke up and wen to a local establishment for breakfast because the Hotel was not offering anything. When I returned, I was eating my food amd watching the news, and noticed a little brown mouse dart out from behind the AC unit and run across the floor. I immediately contacted the front desk and asked for another room. I was given one in another part of the hotel, and have nit had an issue with rodents so far. I am completely dissatisfied with my stay here, and will probably not rebook at this location in the future, unless the place is completely refurnished and clean. Terrible experience. Too many dirty construction people staying here. There were beer bottles and trash piled up in the hallways and near then ending areas. Sgusting and smelled horrrible.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund or perhaps a complimentary stay at another Wyndham resort. I was here 2 days, then decided to move to another resort for the upcoming weekend.
