Went to a longhorn steakhouse at 192 Kissimmee fl with my family, got there at 3:55 pm, the restaurant was literally empty, only few tables waited on, the host told me the wait will be 15 min, I asked her why, she said it's a shift a shift transition and the 4pm servers need time to get ready (never heard that before and I worked in different restaurants myself for over 10 years!) I didn't mind at first but then she sat a couple tables of 2 and another one of 4 right away! 20 minutes later I called the manager over the phone to share my concerns, first I asked him if there's a wait and he said no wait it's based of first come first serve and when I told him what happened with the host then he came up with another excuse (the wait staff need to get the table ready) of course anyone that ever worked in service industry would know that these excuses were lame considering it happened during a slow day and time.. but here's the best part, while I was on hold while the manager is checking with the host, a table of 7 came in and a server started picking menus to walk them to their table, that was it for me, I walked out the door while the manager resumed the call to tell me that my table is ready and I will be seated shortly but I had lost any interest in that place.
All this doesn't make sense and almost unbelievable, and I doubt that longhorn steakhouse condone what I believe is a one person doing (the hostess) and that the manager tried to fix the situation even though he tried to cover up her wrong doing..
My conclusion is that her action was based on the name I give her "Mohammed" and things could've been different if I used a "Mike" or "james" for example!
