I ordered Pollo Tropical delivery through the ap. Uber eats picked up the order. I am not sure why or how that happened but I assumed that Pollo Tropical was taking care of delivering my food. The Uber Eats person sent me a text saying they had arrived. I went outside and found no one so I called her. She had sent me a text on my phone and it showed that it was an Uber Eats driver and gave me her name, Soline G. I could not understand anything she was saying. She sounded Hattian and kept repeating specific words like "mother, my mother' and then "basketball". I asked her if she was going to deliver my food and she said she was going to return my food to the store. Then I received a text saying she had marked the delivery "delivered". I never received my food and now am out $25 and have no food. I went to the Pollo Tropical store where the manager told me there was nothing she could do because once the uber eats driver takes the food, Pollo Tropical is not liable. I believe this to be untrue because I never involved Uber Eats. Pollo Tropical is responsible for my delivery. Kindly return my $25 back to me. The Pollo Tropical order number is [protected].
