We placed an order online because usually there is an extremely long line at the drive-thru. Their online service asked us if we'd like it delivered or picked up at the counter, so we chose pick up at the counter. We drove 20 minutes to get there and upon arrival, the doors were locked. We looked up their number and called to let them know we were here trying to pick up our order. The guy that answered the phone had no idea what we were talking about and told us that they don't do counter pick-up; however, our card had already been charged. We asked him if he was at least showing our order number and his response was "Uh, well, I mean, I'm sure it's ready...Uh.." not finding our order or trying to help in any way and being extremely rude in the process. We finally asked to speak to a manager, to which he yelled back "I'm the manager!" several times. We asked for his name so that we could file a complaint with corporate, to which he yelled back again "Call corporate!" several more times before hanging up on us, never giving his name, our order, or our money. Currently sitting on the phone holding for customer service (15 minutes now) while driving around at almost 7 o'clock at night to find something to feed our kids, to hopefully file a complaint against this "manager" and get our money back for a meal we never got.
Popeyes - Not open when informations states they will be open plus rude and threatening behavior
Earlier today I went to the Popeye's at 1430 Barrett Pkwy in Kennesaw GA. I normally do not go to this store because there are closer Popeye's locations to my house. I have only gone there before because it is on the way to my mother's house. Whenever I have gone to that particular store in the past, it was always something, we have no ice, there is no cash register tape so I can't give you a receipt, no we don't have any red beans and rice (for a place that carries on about their New Orleans heritage not having any red beans and rice is as bad as saying they don't have any chicken), and they were always somewhat surly. It was always something with that location. Today they hit a new low.
I had to run some errands that would take me by that location and when I checked their hours on the internet, it said that they opened at 10:00 am. I arrived at approximately 10:20 to see a car at the drive thru order station, which then pulled up to the window. I waited a few minutes, spoke into the speaker, and got no response, so I pulled up behind the car at the window. The woman in that car told me that there was someone inside the building, but they were ignoring her. I asked that she pull up and I would see if I could get their attention. I got this woman to come over to the window, she opened it and said that they were not open yet. I asked what time they opened and then said that on the internet for that store it said that they opened at 10:00. She just said we're not open then slammed the window shut, tossed her head back putting her nose up in the air, turned and walked off. I banged on the window since I wanted an answer to when they would open. She and a man come up and when I asked what time they opened; his response was "Don't bang on my window." I said that I wanted to know what time they opened since it did not match what was on the internet. His next response was to say, "Get the [censored] out of here." I again asked what time they opened, and he again said, "Get the [censored] out of here" then added "in five seconds I'm calling the cops." The woman in the other car asked what he had said so I repeated it word for word, then both of us left.
If a place has not opened well past the time that the information available to the public says that it opens, asking what time they will open does not strike me as an unreasonable request. It does not rise to the level of threatening to call the police and telling them to "Get the [censored] out of here."
