The UPS Store - Asian hate during customer visit - store #5955

Asian Hate Here!

UPS Store #5955
722 Collins Hill Road, Suite H
Lawrenceville, GA 30045

Walked in with my wife and 11 year old son. Had some papers to be notarized. Simple, right? Well, no, they cannot notarize these documents! Why? Because they are for an embassy of another country? Huh, what? Notarization has nothing to do with the CONTENT of the document but rather is simply AFFIRMING that the signed parties were present and signed. Nothing else! Well the manager gave me a big runaround on this saying that he would lose his notary license if he notarized these documents! I told him that was not the case as I know what a notary does and what notarization is. He sneered and said, "Well, we have a difference of opinion." I told him that it was NOT a difference of opinion but rather a display of incompetence! And left the store.

That's when my Asian wife told me about how he and the other two women there that day were staring at her and my son Josh and made them feel very, very uncomfortable...

And THAT was the reason for the refusal for notary service! Asian HATE!

How can I be so sure?

Very simple! I went to the UPS store on Taylor Drive and encountered a very nice woman there who did the notarization without question! No BS! And as I explained the notary process and laws to my wife, she is an immigrant from outside the US and thus doesn't know the laws fully here yet, this nice woman cautiously added some additional insights and facts about notarization and notaries. So my wife got a very good education in the Taylor Drive UPS store about all this.

And unfortunately she got an education in HATE and DISCRIMINATION at Collins Hill UPS Store! My 11 year old son also got an education in this. I had to tell them both that some Americans are nasty people and hate other people for no good reason except prejudices. What a thing to have to tell and teach a young boy and his mother!

And I've had problems with this UPS store before. Was this another case where he knew I was married to an Asian (we'd been in their together before) and decided to give me BS? I'm DEFINITELY wondering that here!

Here's an older review about that:

Tried to drop off AT&T U-verse box there. Was told by the guy that it couldn't be done. Showed him the letter from AT&T showing the exact equipment and account number and saying that I am to drop it off at a nearby UPS Store or FedEx. Guy said that didn't matter that he could not do it. No explanation why. Was rather rude about it. Said to call AT&T. Said the letter from AT&T didn't matter. Have you tried to call AT&T during the pandemic? Hours on hold and no one ever answers. So I took it to FedEx. Guess what? No problem! They checked it right in and gave me a receipt. Fast and simple. What's the matter with the UPS Store?
