My storage unit @ 4043 E 14th St in Des Moines, Iowa was broken into prior to March 10th 2023. I filed a claim {claim # [protected]} on March 10th. I recieved a immediate response verifying my claim had been recieved and that I would be contacted within 10 days. On March 27th I had still not heard anything on my claim so I reached out to claims dept. On March 28th I recieved a response from claims that she was out of the office with Covid. On April 1st I reached out requesting a estimated time frame on when this claim would be addressed? I got no response. On April 20th I reached out once again, no response. On April 25th I reached out again, no response. On April 26th I recieved message w / phone number to call I called several times all different times of the day only to get voice mail. I left many voicemails before speaking to someone. She asked me a few basic questions and asked if I had pictures and I responded I dont think I do but I will check and if not I could get them for her? I reached out to her several times after this with no response. On May 4th I reached out again only to get automated reply that she would be out of the office until May 8th. It is now May 15th and I cannot get response, only ignored emails attempts and voicemails with no return calls

I'm here in Canada I've had the same problem with StorageMart my unit has got broken into twice they will not honor my insurance they're very difficult they want to have photographs they want to have information that is not available that I do not have and they're rejecting my claim the building that I am is unsecure the doors can't lock and they still do not want to pay for my claim they're doing this to all
