Today (08/23/2021) I visited Kohl's in Morton Grove, Illinois, at the corner of Waukegan and Dempster Road to return 4 items to Amazon.
At the Amazon Return Desk, I presented return code and 4 small electric connectors in an original envelope which was delivered from Amazon.
Because the items are very small size (small as finger size), I asked the lady at counter to seal the opening side with tape.
But the lady only patched the middle part reluctantly, leaving large openings at both sides of envelope.
I told her I'm afraid the small items might be slip out during transfer and asked her to seal the opening with tape.
She became angry and put two pieces of tape each side. Because she showed her anger in a very violent manner, the tapes entangled her fingers and put the sticky part of the tape was exposed in reverse and looked like a piece of garbage.
I asked her to put the tape in the opening side to seal the opening completely.
Then she shouted "If you do not like this then do not come here again" in an angry voice.
I was very upset because according to the Amazon return description it says as below ;
"You do not need to package your return or print a shipping label. Kohl's will pack, label, and ship your return for free. Just bring your item in its original manufacturer's packaging. If you assembled the item, please disassemble before returning. We'll email you a return shipping code. Print out or show it on your smartphone to a store associate at any Kohl's store."
I just bring the item in the original packaging
The Kohl's will pack, label and ship.
Is it too much to ask her to seal the opening with tape? I asked her very politely.
But she responded with anger, and she was so angry she put the tape entangled on her fingers and put the tape on the envelope in reverse, sticky part out.
She said "if you do not like then don't come here again!"
I have never been treated like this in any other store. And there is no reason she got mad at me asking politely put a tape to seal the opening.
So I asked what is her name. Then she threw her name tag on the counter.
I am attaching the picture I took at that time for your reference.
It was a very uncomfortable, unforgettable and upsetting experience at Kohl's.
