Brought car batteriy 75 series 700 to following location to check battery (very slow start)
1. 3893- Zion IL
Had diagnostic procedures
Result: can’t be used, replace battery
Barcode was scanned and all information
was pulled, battery still on warranty
No original receipt of purchase required as all info provided from scanning
Replacement battery was not available in store and Diagnostic slip was provided to get that replacement in any close by store
2 1668-gurnee IL battery not in stock
3. 3891-waukegan IL battery in stock
Brought old battery to automotive department
Was advised get to customer service
Get to customer service
Original copy of receipt was required
For my reply that warranty replacement not required receipt, denied replacement
Call General manager
Both back to automotive department
Continue asking for receipt of purchase
Insist that not required, call store 3893 where diagnostic was provided
Associate from store 3893 tried to explain to manager and automotive department associate
from store 3891 how to provide exchange
Insist that original copy of receipt needed
Accused in scamming, manager was rude and denied any additional help
Was walking away with old battery
Have spent 6.5 hours of day to get replacement according to agreement of purchase
No service, no replacement
Desired outcome: Replace battery with new according with our purchase agreement Replace store 3891 manager and automotive associate with competent and customer friendly
