Hello,
I'm writing this due to the service I received at the Valparaiso, Indiana CVS on the corners of Route 2 and Route 30.
I have an Anthem Supplement Plan which includes the Health Benefits Plan, it is new to me. Not being familiar with it, I stopped by the above CVS to get some help in figuring out what to do. I found it unfortunate that your staff was not familiar with a program of such magnitude. Understanding that "all" personnel wouldn't be I could except that, what threw me was the attitude of the Pharmacist I spoke to. We were there just before 2:00pm on Friday 16 April.
This individual working in the Pharmacy had a complete lack of knowledge of the program (referred to it as being similar to a "rewards" program). Again, I understand not everyone would be an expert however most should have some knowledge. Her lack of knowledge was not even close to her lack of Customer Service, she was an abuse to the point of being extremely rude and insensitive. The worst part for me was her smirking at her colleagues as she shook her head at me and walked away.
I thought that CVS personnel would be helpful and knowledgeable however, all I found was ignorance, intolerance and rudeness. "Health Benefits" Program through the Anthem Plus Supplement plan is what I would think would be a great plan for CVS and every Senior coming into your store. Obviously I thought wrong. My only recommendation would be twofold:
1st and foremost training on "Customer Service" focusing on not being rude when you feel you're above the person you're talking to.
2nd Training on the Healthy Benefits Program and or an area in the store that could answer questions before we're embarrassed at the register holding up other customers.
Thank You,
Erin L. Haney
Desired outcome: Training on Customer Service focusing on not being rude to the person you’re talking to. Training on the Healthy Benefits Program and or an area in the store that could answer questions.
