First, I don't normally ever look to complain and appreciate food service workers and their hard work and efforts. However, on sunday the 27th, I had a coupon for 12 pieces of mixed chicken (12 piece meal deal with white and dark) and 3 sides with bisucits for 23.99. I was excited to order for my family just prior to the sunday night football game. My sons were coming over and we were going to have a nice dinner I thought.
I went to the store and I ordered my chicken, and then asked what pieces came with the order after I paid for the chicken. She said it was all dark and I said that was incorrect. She said there was nothing she could do about it and I asked to just pay for the difference in white since I thought she might be right about the coupon.in short, she said their was nothing she could do about the order, and proceeded to help the next 3 people in line. She refused to even show me the coupon since she said it was already in the register. I waited patiently for her to help those other 3 and used the restroom during the time (restroom was absolutely filty and disgusting) I did not even mention that to the staff. Upon my return, I asked if she could ask the manager and she just started helping others out. I was never rude, outspoken and very pleasant with her. Finally someone filling the orders and I assume the day manager came to the front and I asked him on my own about the chicken. He said he would check, rolled his eyes as he walked off.. Again, very pleasant to him, just wanting to get a mixed order of chicken that was extra crispy. I was simply just checking on my order, more than willing to pay any differnce, etc.. Finally they just brought the food to the front. I had to ask again about the chicken and he sounded very irritated that I even asked. He said he gave me 3 of everything and walked away.. The other customers waiting as well were in disbelief by their attitudes and actions. One even asked me how come I was still so pleasant to them.. Anyway, I grabbed my order and went home.
When I got home, we had to coupon sheets with the exact same coupons on them. The coupon was clearly marked 23.99 for a 12 piece meal deal, white and dark (mixed).. I feel like the cashier lied to me and was not even willing to show me or pull out the coupon and clear up my question. I then just assumed I was wrong and was more than happy to pay any difference. She would not even allow me to do that or change my order and told me it too bad, it was already ordered and paid for.
Now when I got home, it was for the sunday night chiefs game here in kc and the game was about to start. I opened the bucket of chicken, it was all dark and not even extra crispy, but original. It was too late to go back and I did not miss the game.. My sons ate the chicken and I fixed some sandwiches.
In short, it was a horrible experience and I use to love kentucky fried. This is the second bad experience at this particular store. I was treated like I did something wrong and I just wanted a mixed bucket of chicken as my coupon said..
