I came in to the Popeyes on Thomas road in west Monroe, LA. I got my food from the counter and went to a booth. I noticed there were a total of 4 people eating in separate booths already. They were all black. I’m white. After I sat down, a lady came up to me and told me I couldn’t eat inside, that the indoor counter is only for togo orders. I looked around and saw all the other people with their food half eaten. The lady never told the other people they couldn’t eat inside. I’ve dealt with disrespectful staff from Popeyes all my life. I just look past it because the chicken is so good. But this was completely out of line and completely racist. I am considering hiring a civil attorney.
Desired outcome: I would like to be treated fairly when I go in, just like anyone else.
