This company's business practices are shady and fraudulent, to say the least. I purchased a 12-month registration of a domain name and the corresponding web hosting services from them on 9/30/14. At that time, I did not set my account to auto-renewal. Fast forward 12 months, and they send an e-mail notifying me that my domain name "if it has been set to Autorenewal" (which it wasn't) will renew on 9/30/15. I disregarded the notice as it would not apply to me. However, during these 12 months, iPage modified the Terms of Agreement and imposed an Autormatic Renewal on ALL domain names/services unless the customer opts out. They give you a very small window (1-14 days) to opt out. However, their renewed Terms of Service indicate that the notice of cancellation of a service much reach them 16 before the expiration of hte domain name/ service, thus making their notice ineffectual and useless. In short, they are so desperate for money that they will charge our credit cards without asking us. When you try cancelling your services or getting a refund, they adopt a defensive attitude: in my case, they are refusing to refund the charges and ask that I fax some forms to cancel my subscription (that should not have been renewed to being with). Stay away FAR FAR AWAY from this company!
