In 2024, I contacted iPage concerning the fact that my annual fees were more than doubling. I was offered a .05% discount as a courtesy, which was insulting when my fees were going up by over 100%. I told the customer service person at that time that I did not want to renew with them. I was auto-billed anyway. When I called to dispute, I was told I could cancel but would not be refunded for ANY PORTION of the charge. Since then, every single time I check my website, it says "under construction" in spite of me not making any changes and stayed that way until I re-published the site. I would like to file a lawsuit against iPage, but in lieu of that I will publish my reviews of the poor service and unethical treatment I received with as many social media sites as possible. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau, and the NY State Attorney General's office.
