From 2018 to present, iPage has been charging me for a web host plan without any domain attached to it. I believe this occurred from when I transitioned into a new domain with them and the person assisting me had me create a new login account, but then decided it was easier to keep the same account (My username for my current domain still reflects the domain I no longer have). This domain was for my business as well as the current, live domain I have now. It was setup for an annual, recurring charge on my business credit card. I did not realize the issue until I got a new accountant and when I noticed a charge from iPage on two cards (the inactive domain on my business credit card and the active domain on my business debit card) as I was going through my books to turn over to him, I realized the glaring error. I contacted iPage via chat and was informed that I can cancel it but there was no way for my money to be refunded since account plans and domains are two separate products. This is like purchasing an extended car warranty without any car. Why would I purchase domain host and website host plans without an active domain for it? The active domain I have already has those plans attached for it. I believe there was an error those years ago with the person helping me. The right thing to do is to refund me the $1105.06 and to have me remain with iPage for my future planned endeavors.
Claimed loss: $1105.06
Desired outcome: Full refund of the services that were never ordered or used.
