On October 8 2015 I came into inquire about a cheap entry door versus a cheap screen door. I purchased a screen door at Pre-tax Customer Price of $319, total price of $446.39, with an installation date of November 6 2015. The installation technician arrives and began to remove parts of the frame; however, he stopped because he notices that the interior frame was dry rotten. After speaking with his manager/supervisor, he was told to leave. As of this writing the frame is still exposed. I came to the store to speak with the Mill Supervisor (November 7). I was told that because the frame was dry rotten, they would not install a screen door. I had to purchase an entry door. We explored several prices based on the measurements (34X84). I informed the staff of 3 that I would not be paying for a screen and entry door plus installation. I asked that the total cost be refunded and added to the cost of the entry door and frame. Today, I arrived to be told that the cheapest entry door would cost me $400-$445, not including installation fees and cost. Please note that on Saturday I was informed that the cheapest door for my measurements was $300 when the sales person (Reggie) total the cost of the door labor and installation, fees, etc. the total cost was $1166; $700 was for installation and fees. Please note that I was told that the previous order would be credited to the new cost, what they didn’t say is, they would include the previous order in the surcharge fees. I have often felt that women and women of color are often subjected to various forms of discrimination, this is a clear example. I am seeking a full refund immediately; because of the incoming temperature the exposed dry rotten frame could become worst.
