Home Depot - Washing machine during a covid pandemic

During this covid pandemic, home depot advertises that "we care about our employees and customers, you must wear a mask to enter our stores, wash your hands often, sneeze in your elbow…" sadly, they don't add "but don't wash your clothing" which is exactly what they expressed to me.

I originally ordered a washing machine that was in the warehouse ready for pick up. You'd think that I would have received it in a timely manner since we are living in a new normal where we have to "wear a mask, wash our hands often, sneeze in our elbows". Oh, no!

I was told I would receive my washing machine at the end of the week (the 12th). I tried to have the washing machine delivered sooner, only to discover that it was going to be delivered on the 19th. I complained to the store manager and he told me he would make some calls. (I later learned that ‘make some calls"is only home depot rhetoric for placating customers and has no true muscle.) I received a call on the 10th from a man who claimed he was from lg, who told me I would receive my washing machine on the 12th. I was so giddy with happiness I failed to ask the store manager to affirm this message.

The washing machine was not delivered on the 12th (why? We shall never know) and I was told it would be delivered on the 19th… this is during a viral pandemic, a time people are supposedly dying. So, I can only conclude that home depot wants people to sneeze in their elbows, but not wash those dirty elbows.

I requested to arrange to have the washing machine picked up by a delivery service of my choosing."no"was the reply from home depot. I requested that home depot hire another delivery team for extenuating circumstances, i.e., a covid pandemic."no"again was home depot's reply.

The 19th came and no washing machine; the delivery company's excuse"we have no trucks on the road today"… but what about the next day?
Nope, no washing machine and on a bright and sunny day!

I was told I would have to wait another 5 days. At this point, my suspicions are vindicated…there is no said pandemic as proven by 1) washing machines not considered an essential item, 2) more people dying from said covid have lived in geriatric homes, and 3) wall street is giddy. Yes, dear reader, covid is good for the economy exactly as building eco-friendly row-homes and endless shopping centers on top of ecosystems is good for the environment! So, why deliver a washing machine when the economy is running so smoothly?

Our hypocritical government dictates that we must wear masks (great for the economy as it expands the ‘mask' and ‘alcohol' industry). But the government also allows retailers to dance to their own drums and fiddles. Retailers pick and choose when to use the covid card. The lack of house-hold appliances is being blamed on covid; actually, everything is blamed on covid today. Home depot and lowes are taking full advantage of this. Why hasn't the government's health department intervened on certain cleaning appliance deliveries, i.e., washing machines, when said items are in stock. A washing machine is a valuable tool in"the war against the spread of covid". Well, again, there is no covid pandemic as I wrote above.

During all this time, i've made several calls, been hung up on by home depot employees or have had to hang up on store employees because they refused to listen to me by speaking over me. I've had employees tell me that the last order they could find was three years ago… most importantly, i've learned that the ruling elite of home depot leave problems at the store level without giving those at the store level any support.

So, where will I shop in the future? In a world where customer service, real customer service no longer exists at the highest level, it will be a hard journey.

Desired outcome: MAKE PEOPLE AWARE - GETTING MY WASHING MACHINE IN A RESPECTFUL AMOUNT OF TIME IS FUTILE NOW
