My Dad William Burress, was in the Meineke on 545 n hwy 67 in Florissant Mo. His original plan was to get the noise fixed he heard under his car. He was told the A frame was messed up I believe. So he called his insurance company to get the ball rolling.
He was told that they would come out to investigate the issue. So he got a rental. But it appears that the State Farm insurance investigator did not make the appt, to see the car.
Now, my Dad went to go pick the car up from the shop, and was told the insurance had not come to look at the car. But the insurance agent had an issue with the price of the part that was chosen by Meineke so he came into the store and spoke with someone.
Meineke did remove 200 off the bill, but the part was $200 that state farms chose, but Meineke part was 900 minus the 200 they removed from the bill.
I called and spoke to the Gen manager and he was very rude to me, and blamed my Dad for not calling the insurance company which he did. My dad is almost 90 years old and has his mind in tact, but I feel he was taken advantage of because the car was fixed without the insurance adjuster checking the car out first. and my Dad had to pay out of his pocket. He is on fixed income. Instead of the Gen manager being understandable he talked over me and basically ended the call when he heard enough. Desired outcome: My dad be reimbursed for the approx 500 he had to pay out of pocket.
