My family and I visited the Fayetteville, NC location on Nov. 01, 2021 @ 2000. There was only 5 tables including ours and the service was absolutely slow. The waitress was inattentive. We waited at least 15minutes to even place our drink order and another 10min for our food order. There were 6 people in our party and we ordered 5 Queen Crab Buckets, 2 old bay and 3 garlic. When we received our order the garlic buckets did not have an ounce of garlic on it. When I brought it to our server's attention she brushed it off and said that the garlic was in the sauce on the bottom. Normally our buckets are bursting with flavor. I have ate at this location before on a very busy night and have never had this kind of service. She still received 10% tip from our $300.12, which she really didn't deserve. And I know every one wants to blame COVID, but there were at least 3 servers working that night including ours. For the amount of money I spent on my meal I expected more. What makes it worse is that my sister was visiting and I bragged on the food and service to her and that's why she specifically requested that we eat at Joe's before she flew back home. I was embarrassed and disappointed in the service and the flavor of the food. Even our pound of peel and eat shrimp was flavorless. I drove an hour to patronize this location and I may never return to this location again after this visit. I could have spent this much money at my local Harris Teeter and been better off. Server: Tishayda; November 01, 2021 ticket says 2000, but we arrived around 1830; Ticket #: 40029; $300.12 plus 10% tip.

Joe's Crab Shack - Service when we first came in!
I just left the Fayetteville, NC restaurant and walked the hell out with my family! We walked in at 3pm and the host sat us down. We waited and waited for someone to at least take our drink order. After 15 minutes nothing! 20 minutes nothing! Another large family sat behind us and within 3 minutes they had a waitress attend to them. We were still waiting! My kids start getting upset because they are hungry and it's 3:35. We proceeded to walk out at 3:40pm and told the nice host lady that we were just going to leave. We were very upset and that we would complain. The host at one time tried to ask the slow bartender why we were waiting so long, and she gave the host an attitude and told her she was making drinks! So the host apologize to us. I used to come here all the time and tip the waiters and waitresses well. We sat there for almost 45 minutes and no waitresses or waitresses helped us. No one asked us anything. They would just pass by us like we were not there!🤬🤬This was the worst way to treat a great past customer!

Joe's Crab Shack - Food quality and service
My family and I have always loved eating at Joe's Crab Shack throughout my 30-year military career. We recently visited the Fayetteville, NC location and the food quality was not the same and the service was horrible. We always get the stem pot and my wife gets the king crab. This time, my wife crabs was real spongy and dripping with water and my pot was the same. We noticed they had signs up stating immediately hiring on the spot. We assumed they were extremely under staffed and taking short cuts.
