Michael C. (the regional GM) and Kevin should be very proud of the team members at my favorite HT Store, 104, in Morrisville, NC..
There are many customers who only complain and sometimes the complaints are the only customer feedback team members get to see. Thanks are due to Kevin for passing along my compliments.
Today, I was assisted by: Sanjana, Olena, Suzan, Ashelyn, Destiny, Jake, Dawn, Michael C., Sunjay P., Sherita, Austin, Canvis and Darius. Patrick and Phil, Kaitlyn (deli), Nick, James and Malikai are always helpful. Each person made my experience enjoyable.
Darius, Sanjana, Sunjay P., Ashelyn, Austin, Dawn, Suzan, Nick, James and Malikai, Kaitlyn, Olena, Destiny, Jake, Sherita, Phil, Patrick, Stephen, and Canvis should be recognized and rewarded for going above and with great skill and caring to make the customers’ experience rewarding.
I also enjoy the emails from HT Corporate personnel, Emily and others for taking the time to respond in a positive manner. My notes are to reward the employees and to inform senior management of my favorite HT store team members.

Recommendation: Always ask for assistance if you cannot find something. If there is something wrong, go to customer service in the store. You will always find that HT management and team members are there to listen.
Incredibly helpful people in Hollymead HT in Charlottesville, VA
My car battery died this morning at the Harris Teeter at Hollymead in Charlottesville, VA. The car was packed with groceries and I wanted to get home. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to put jumper cables in my car.
There wasn't time to call a friend for help, as I needed to get the car to the dealership in less than an hour, when it was closing. So I went inside to the customer service desk.
The woman at the desk was wonderful; she alerted the entire staff to my predicament. Someone at the back of the store did have jumper cables and sent Bill with her keys to help me. Bill pulled his own car up to mine and after two attempts, my car started.
I was able to get to the dealership with enough spare time to get an entirely new battery installed in my car. Without the help of the staff at Harris Teeter, I would have been stranded for the entire weekend. Thank you all very much! Thank you Bill!

December 12 at 3:30 pm. There were no other customers at the pharmacy. I waited for more than five minutes at the pick up window while the employee refused to acknowledge me while working at a computer then at a counter 3 feet away. When I finally got her attention, instead of apologizing, she sneered at me, said she was busy and accused me of lying
Desired outcome: Training your employees to acknowledge customers who are waiting. Isn’t part of the job to make us feel like our business is wanted?

Jennifer (store manager)
Ms. Jennifer is regarded as one of the rudest managers I have ever encountered. When an employee encountered difficulties, she corrected them politely but unnecessarily. I believe that Ms. Jennifer needs to be checked and brought under control because there shouldn't be any justification for her behavior, which essentially treats her subordinates like slaves. She hired them and then treats them rudely when they experience difficulties that prevent them from working. She also seems to take her authority for granted. I also believe that she should step down when there are no customers present. It is unacceptable to not see. I went to this nearby store to see for myself, and I have to admit that I think she should be stop. I see that it's important to be firm with your coworkers, but it doesn't mean you have to treat them like dog[censored].

I am filing this complaint because I was walking with heavy groceries and a guy claiming to be a manager there chased me in his silver/grayish truck. I never felt more harassed in my life. It was very traumatizing, and they will not have my business, please watch out for your children's safety (DO NOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE). I would leave zero stars if I could.

Harris Teeter in Mclean VA very often has NO CASHIER. Last time I was there it was a weekday afternoon. It is not easy to self-check a full basket of groceries. I have been overlooking the fact that they carry few and now even fewer vegan options, but forcing me to use self-check is also forcing me to shop elsewhere. Giant, Walmart, Wegmans, Safeway, Wholefoods — these all have cashiers that understand it is THEIR job, NOT MINE, to scan and bag my full basket of groceries. Self-check is supposed to be a convenience, not a requirement, even if you only have a few items.

I purchased Harris Teeter chicken salad at the Harris Teeter in Fuquay Varina, NC on Monday 07/17. When in the store initially all I saw was the Roberts chicken salad, then I was brought a carton of Harris Teeter Rotisserie chicken salad which is what I am accustomed to purchasing every week.
It did not look good or smell good, it had the date of 07/17 on the label, the salad was completely runny and tasted nothing like I have been used to eating for several years.
This was a huge disappointment, why would you vary from the existing recipe and start making it differently? Why would you start importing Roberts Chicken salad from Wilmington.
I often go to Harris Teeter to pickup my lunch for the week and now I will go somewhere else.
Desired outcome: Put back the original chicken salad and stop charging so much for your groceries.
Toilet Paper Dispenser In Men's Bathroom
The toilet paper dispenser in the very first stall in the men's bathroom is less than six inches from the door as you open it. You literally have to ram the door against the toilet paper dispenser to get in the stall. I spoke to the store manager about it about three weeks ago. He claimed at the time he had sent in a form about it. So far nothing has been done. This store is located at 5705 Waylong Dr. Charlotte N.C. 28227. Surely ir doesn't take three weeks to move a toilet paper dispenser.

False advertising
I went to Harris Teeter in New Bern NC today because they advertised gift cards for 4 times the fuel points. I normally by a lowes card but they were in a rack with 2 X fuel points so I went to the 4 X fuel points rack a picked out a Visa card when I checked out I got 0 fuel points. When I asked the manager about it He said it didn't apply to that card. So I said can I return it and he said no. My question is why didn't I get any Fuel points the card was for $200 I should have got at least got 200 points. Also why do you put cards in a section marked 4 X the fuel points if you don"t give any points. To me that is a deceptive practice and I am shocked that you engage in such a thing
Fuel points
Have had 3 incidences with my fuel points in Greenville, NC. They seem to disappear. I redeem my monthly fuel points at the end of the following month each and every time. I checked my January points and it says that my points were redeemed. I emailed and I was told that they take the highest amount first... no sense whatsoever. Then I emailed again and they responded that they have moved 600 points to February! Still does not answer my question, what happened to my January points, which were to be redeemed end of February. I have had alot of trouble with the points business. They seem to disappear or are never added. I suggest people keep close eye on what is going on. I will not shop there now because I feel they are not being honest with the points and people probably think it works correctly!

I have tried complain to Harris Teeter to and when asking the pharmacy they say Corp wont pay for it! I open my meds with a knife , screw driver and today the pointed edge of a scissors. THIS IS NOT RIGHT
You are not complying with laws for the disabled. Some of us have arthritic hands! You can absolutely afford to have easy open RX bottles. Going to file a complaint with Disability.
Desired outcome: BUY easy open bottles for older folks, arthritic and disabled folks.

I have been a regular customer despite some unpleasant experiences with Harris Teeter, including being double charged for some items, items being marked up higher than advertised, and coupons not being honored. But last night (11/5/2022) around 7:30 pm at the Goose Creek Village location was my worst experience. The minute I went in line to pay, the cashier (with the initial A.A.), was the unfriendliest, rudest, laziest, and grumpiest cashier I have ever met in Harris Teeter. Not only she would not even respond, but she also did not want to pull my cart with groceries (she gestured for me to push it closer to her), she did not want to bag my groceries (so I bagged my groceries), and she gave me nasty and condescending looks during the entire time she was scanning my groceries. I believe Harris Teeter should provide the necessary training to their employees and should not hire this type of person because it ruins their reputation. Harris Teeter should train their employees to treat people with respect and dignity and to do their job responsibilities.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response and an apology from the said "cashier" and an explanation of why she treated me that way.
Harris Teeter brand canned chicken
I purchased a 4.5 ounce HTbrand canned chicken. After draining the liquid I opened the can and discovered it was only about half full. I then commenced to weighing it. The actual contents of the Can was 2.3 ounces. The contents plus the can Was a mere 3.5 ounces. I am very disappointed in this Harris Teeter product and I will more than likely go namebrand next time
Desired outcome: I wouldn’t mind getting a free can of chicken that hopefully equates to the four. 5 ounce content.

Went to Harris Teeter at North Ridge shopping center. There was 1 check out open. Went through “”self check out. No one there to help. There was a lady help bagging at other 1 open register having fun, laughing, cutting up. Meanwhile I kept on pushing help is on the way key, no help. Finally left all my groceries there and left. This is at 11:17 Tuesday 8/16/2022. This Harris teeter went down hill. Very unfortunate.
Online Online, Pickup Groceries
I ordered groceries online to be pickup in car when I got there. When I ordered online, the 4.95 pickup fee was waived, marked thru, wasn't charged. HOWEVER, later when they actually charged my credit card, they DID charge me that pickup fee. I have tried many times for an explanation and you guessed it, no one responded.
This is WRONG ! THIS IS MISLEADING !
NEVER AGAIN...
Desired outcome: I want that 4.95 fee I was not supposed to be charged for, added back to my card.
Political extremism
I was recently in the Harris Teeter in Asheville on Merrimon Avenue. A customer wearing a "let's go Brandon" shirt walked by the cheese department and the two workers started exclaiming about the overthrow of the government in Sri Lanka and how our country is next, woo hoo. They were talking loudly and very excitedly and clearly support the violent attemts to overthrow our government. As a regular patron, I was disturbed to see such disgusting and unpatriotic words coming from HT employees and it wanted me to leave the store as quickly as possible.
Desired outcome: Discuss with your employees that they should keep their political views to themselves.
Coke
I received my VIC email on yesterday Wednesday June 9th 2022 and it advertised 2 12 packs of coke products for 3.00 I went to the store and was denied the purchase. I was told that the price was a mistake and that they put posters up in the store advising that the email was a mistake. I understand that mistakes happen but I called the store before going because of gas prices and was told that I could get the cokes but, when I got there it wasn't honored. No one has gas to waste and I'm wondering if this is a bait and switch.

On 5 25 22 at approximately 430pm. We were on vacationin sc at isle psalm. Wr had to been to the harris teeter grocery store several times that week. On this particular date we were checking out when the cashier "Scott started yelling at us to put groceries up on the belt. At that point we starting putting groceries up on belt when he then started yelling for us to leave ice in buggy. It was like nothing i have witnessed from and employee at a grocerie store. This young man needs to learn some people skills or be let go one or the other. This will be last time in doing business is one of your stores.
Desired outcome: Something done. I have been there on 3 visits before today and loved place. Shame that one person can ruin your experience
Slowest checkout between Atlantic and Pacific
I am from out of town, visiting my son in Norfolk, VA.
My son warned me several times that the the Granby Street Harris Teeter checkers were phenomenally S-L-O-W.
I have been back four different times, and he was spot on correct.
Those who were in line with me agreed.
It is the slowest service I have seen in my travels, between the Pacific and Atlantic.
One has to avoid the front of the isles because of the people and thier carts in line blocking the flow from one isle to the other.
Not sure how you do it, but it is almost jaw-dropping everytime.
Desired outcome: When frustrated, I adjust my expectations.Sorry, Harris Teeter, you have been adjusted O-U-T.Nice store but one can get the same quality and brands elsewhere a lot faster.
