PC Richard & Son - they cant be trusted. bought frig.11/8 I used my pc card

I had promo for 12, months, they said it was 3.I know it was 12.Now charging me finance charges which they should have not.They cant be trusted.Bought frig.11/8 I used my pc card for th at purpose.12 months no interest.Joe botros Jr.8246 were very rude and felt like they did not believe me.Like I was lying/I will never buy a thin from PC again and I will tell all my people that I know about it.Joe botros Jr. 8246 cant be trusted!I cant afford their finance .I was going to pay it all off, but now I don't care they will get 18 a month till I die.

I sent my November payment to GE Money Bank on 4 November 2011. The representatives from GE Money Bank called me, asking for my October payment on 29 Novembe2011. When I told Joe Botros Jr. 8246 them that I had made the payment, they told me to authorize a check for my October payment. I hung up. They called and woke me up on 30 Novembe 2011 (a Sunday) and I told them the check had already cleared the bank. They told me to send them a copy of my bank statement to clear this up. I told them that they must be crazy that I would send them a copy of the cashed check, which I have done.

PC Richard & Son - I complained that I already have a 10yr warranty and this should still be active since the fridge is only 1 year old.

I was so upset that I called the service department to complain again. They were so embarrassed by the mistake, that they said they would give me a new fridge but I would need to purchase a new warranty contract as a result. I complained that I already have a 10yr warranty and this should still be active since the fridge is only 1 year old. They said replacing the fridge means ending my contract. I was so upset. I had no choice but to opt to wait longer for them to order the correct part and wait for the technician to fix the fridge. It's been almost 3weeks without a working fridge in this heat wave and I lost a lot of food thanks to pc richards! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PLEASE DO NOT BUY MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM PC RICHARDS! YOU'RE BETTER OFF AT SEARS!

PC Richard & Son - I am beyond disgusted and I do not want p. c. richard & son to get away with this and I doubt I will be the last! please help?

In Feb 28, 2011, I purchased the Duet Steam Washer and Dryer highly recommended by the P.C. salesman this Sept of 2011. The baren broke and they told me it would be two weeks for the service repair guys to come. They called two days prior to schedule an appointment and said one of the service guys was sick. We had to reschedule for the following week.

Three weeks later now, the service guys come and replaced the baren. I did my first load of wash and all this water was gushing out from underneath the washer. I again called P.C. Richard & Son to tell them what happened and I am quite annoyed as they tell me all they can do is send out the service guy again, but it will be another week. The day the repair guy is due to come he calls and said, "I am a different service tech and I called the two techs that were at your house last and asked them what repairs did they do?" The homeowner is now complaining of water coming out from the machine. The two techs tell the new tech, "oh yeah, we think another part was broken" or they somehow broke it, but they should have but didn't order a new part, or tell me for that matter. Now he has to order another part. I will never ever purchase another appliance from them again and I feel I should be compensated by P.C. Richard & Son. In June I purchased a $6, 000.00 Wolf range from them. You would think that they would be more then willing to help me out and what they should have done from the very beginning is replace my washer. I am beyond disgusted and I do not want P.C. Richard & Son to get away with this and I doubt I will be the last! Please help?

PC Richard & Son - asked about my extended warranty and they said the supervisor charlie would never offer that and basically called me the liar,

It is now Oct 13th and I have called P.C. Richard to complain and they are in no way trying to accommodate me in any way. I have to take loads of laundry out to get washed (mind you I have two teenaged sons) at the laundry. Matt and I have told this to P.C. Richard and the supervisor of the service dept told me she would give me, at no cost for my hassle, a extended warranty on the washer. I call today, the 13th of Oct, and want to know when my part will be in. They put me on hold for 20 mins and said it's in and will come on the 18th to install. I asked about my extended warranty and they said the supervisor Charlie would never offer that and basically called me the liar, and oh well, we don't do that sorry and someone will be there on the 18th.

I will never ever purchase another appliance from them again and I feel I should be compensated by P.C. Richard & Son. In June I purchased a $6, 000.00 Wolf range from them. You would think that they would be more then willing to help me out and what they should have done from the very beginning is replace my washer. I am beyond disgusted and I do not want P.C. Richard & Son to get away with this and I doubt I will be the last! Please help?

PC Richard & Son - &. private sales letters buyer beware!!!

Be VERY wary of these people! They are RIP OFFS of the highest order. Joe Botros Jr 8246 told me that I would be interest free for 15 months, after which my payments would begin to include interest. What they DIDN'T tell me was that all that interest was accruing and that when it kicked in I would be hit by deferred interest in the sum of almost $1100.00! NONE of this is listed on your monthly statement page, mind you". It’s a separate page (to which they conveniently never direct you! You really have to hunt for it;.) THEN you’re hit with a brand new 26/.99% interest rate! You read that right! 26".99%! Even though I have automatic payments, so I'm never late! This is now by far my most expensive interest account, . They make CitiCard look like Mother Teresa/. PLEASE! If you have an account with these people PAY IT OFF FAST?. Then find another provider! These people have a hole where their souls ought to be, . ".Private sales letters Buyer beware!

Every bill sent by GE Capital (formerly GE Money Bank) contains, in large writing, the end of the promotional period and that interest is accruing on the account.
The sales person, the company nor the bank have reason to embellish or lie about the promotion as it can stand on it's own as a leading promotion in the industry. The consumer gets to purchase an item without interest for the length of the promotion (in this case 15 months), so long as the balance is paid by the end of the promotion. Isn't it becoming clear that an OP has a vendetta against a Mr Joe Botros. I'm not condoning some of the sales practices at PC Richard, but they have survived every other consumer electronics retailer in the NJ/NY area. Webmaster: maybe it's time to monitor these posts and URLs in this string.

PC Richard & Son - my husband called nick stavridis 8241 to have someone come look at it and was told that it would take 1 week for someone to come here to look at it!

I purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine on 9/8/11 and had it delivered on 9/10/11. I purchased it from paramus store because I could have it the next day and my washing machine was broken and I needed one right away (I have 6 people in my house to do laundry for). After completing one load of laundry and trying to run another, the washing machine would not work (the water would not come out of the machine). My husband called Nick Stavridis 8241 to have someone come look at it and was told that it would take 1 week for someone to come here to look at it! Someone came the following Tuesday to check the machine and said that it needed a part, and when I asked how long it would take to get it, they said about a week! This was unacceptable to me as I had a brand new washing machine in my house for 8 days that did not work and I was going to have to wait another 8

PC Richard & Son - i have an extended warrenty and I called the service number on a friday and they did not respond until tuesday.

The refrigerator died. I had my refrigerator for 2 years and it just stopped working. I have an extended warrenty and I called the service number on a Friday and they did not respond until Tuesday. In the interim I had to throw away hundreds of dollars of good food. I sent your company a letter and it has been a month and the company has yet to respond. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and I cannot afford to replace all of the food that I had to throw in the garbage because your company refuses to take responsibility for the refrigerator.
I would appreciate a response including reimbursement for my loss. Being on a fixed income I have to make choices between my medication and my food on a monthly basis. Your attention to this matter is of utmost importance to me.

I should have known better, but I let a coworker talk me into going to pc richards. She thought we could get a better deal in the store. Wrong! PC Richard & Son - some kind of scam where they are running a credit check instantly on people and trying to get them signed up for a p. c. richard & son credit accou

There was one strange thing in this transaction: they seemed to have my name and address in their computer and insisted I had a P.C. Richard & Son credit account. I was 99.9% sure that I had never bought anything at P.C. Richard & Son so I didn't understand that and said he must be mistaken. I charged the refrigerator to my Visa card as I had planned, which turned out to be a good thing.

About fifteen years ago, I had bought a television for a friend by opening an account to get a discount and I figured maybe it was a P.C. Richard & Son rather than Best Buy or Circuit City. Later when I checked with my friend, it had been Best Buy, so I am now 100% sure that I have never purchased anything from P.C. Richard & Son before and still wonder if that is some kind of scam where they are running a credit check instantly on people and trying to get them signed up for a P.C. Richard & Son credit account.

My advice is do not let them talk you into that because you may need the protection provided by your credit card company just as I ended up needing it. Do not buy an appliance from them unless you use a credit card. Do not pay cash, do not write a check, do not use their credit services.

When I got home, I called the bank that handles their credit accounts and they checked by my social security number and they had no history of me every having any kind of account. This made me feel safer about possible identity theft but I am still not sure if this was an honest error or some sort of an attempt to trick people into opening credit accounts. I have no explanation of why I am in their computer system unless this is some kind of scam. The bank couldn't provide an alternative explanation, either.

My father was shopping for a car radio at the Enfield, Ct location. He never bought one. He then recieved a card in the mail and a statement with a $150 balance for the radio that he never purchased. He never activated the card. So in short, P.C. Richards issued, activated and charged the card for a purchase that was never made. Currently we are contacting GE Credit fraud department to dispute charge and state that the card was never applied for nor activated. My father is over 80, so when the sales associate asked him 3 questions, he didn't realize that they were apparently starting a credit application. This alone is shady, let alone the fact they THEY activated the card and charged thwe card for a non-authorized transaction. Be aware nowadays, every company is out to scam people, especially senior citizens. Even fast food employees are out to scam you 25 cents here and there.

P.C. Richard has been in business for 102 years. We do business with honesty, integrity and reliability. While I do not know the specifics of the situation, I would first apologize for the confusion. Second, I can say that P.C. Richard does offer our P.C. Richard Credit card through GE Capital (Formerly GE Money). We often run pre-approved credit promotions very similar to the pre-approved credit offers one might receive in the mail. Like the mail offers, no credit checks are performed without information and consent from the consumer. I suspect that this is where the misunderstanding took place. Based on name and address of the consumer the bank will "pre-approve" a consumer for a P.C. Richard credit card. This is instantaneous at the time of sale. If the customer agrees, then the customer's personal credit information is obtained and a credit check is performed. Once again, this is only with the customer's approval. If a customer declines no personal information will be retrieved.

PC Richard & Son - charlie suggested the normal stuff; use stainless steel cleaner [duh] but the cleaners did nothing..

I Bought a $2000 Samsung refrigerator from P C Richard & Son in paramus and within 6 weeks water was staining the refrigerator. Their answer was, it is cosmetic so there is nothing we can do. I said I have three other stainless appliances, unfortunately also bought at PC Richards, and none of them have stained. No response. Charlie suggested the normal stuff; use Stainless Steel Cleaner [DUH] but the cleaners did nothing. Samsung, get this, said try WD-40. OK I did, nothing. My advice is stay away from Samsung appliances and PC Richards.

I immediately stopped the delivery guys and called the store at [protected] and spoke to the manager, Craig Ruppert, who said that he would give me a $75 credit for the damage. While he held the line, I looked at the refrigerator again and more carefully to see if there were other dents and I then asked him for $100 credit because the dents are so bad and show but he said no, it was $75 or I could "refuse delivery" and they would send another one, that those were my "only two choices" and I had "to decide right this minute". Wow. He wasn't even nice about it, like it was my fault they sent a dented refrigerator and that my time sitting around waiting for delivery was no big deal and that I could just take another day off to wait for another delivery to correct their error.

PC Richard & Son - home depot didn't have a good selection so I went across the street to another p. c. richard & son and the salespeople were much more knowledg

I went to P.C. Richard & Son on route 17 south in paramus New Jersey on October 2011 to shop for a refrigerator to replace my old one and get the Energy Star rebate. I had trouble getting the salespeople Joe Botros Jr. 8246 in the kitchen appliance area to help me.Which I bought a tv from him. They weren't busy but they obviously didn't know anything about the refrigerators and didn't make any effort to be helpful. They weren't rude, just absolutely indifferent and unhelpful. So I left there and went up to paramus to check at Home Depot.

Home Depot didn't have a good selection so I went across the street to another P.C. Richard & Son and the salespeople were much more knowledgeable and helpful than the ones. In the size refrigerator I was looking for, I was told there was only one Energy Star rated model so on I purchased what was supposed to be a brand new GE refrigerator from them and set a delivery date in three days.

PC Richard & Son - if you decline the coverage the salesman ebadur khan 5952 needs to call over a supervisor who makes an second attempt at selling the insurance.

You get a pressured sales pitch for the insurance coverage, then they attempt to add surge protectors and cables not asked for. If you decline the coverage the salesman Ebadur Khan 5952 needs to call over a supervisor who makes an second attempt at selling the insurance. Overall a very poor experience, a purchase of a $2450 television should be painless, walk in, pay, walk out.

PC Richard & Son - When I spoke to the manager, james he said they were just following company policy which gives only 30 days to pay off the tv.

These thieves took a deposit on a Sharp led flatscreen which was on sale and re-sold it out from under me in less than 30 days. Then they told me they could only apply the money towards next year's model at twicr the sale price! I've never seen anything as slimy as this. Be smart and spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. You have been forewarned. When I spoke to the *** manager, James he said they were just following company policy which gives only 30 days to pay off the tv. I reminded this genius that 30 days had not yet passed. The slimy salesman Joe Botros r. 8246 who double-sold my set told me I could "take as much time as I wanted " and my receipt mentions no time limit on the lay-away. They sold my set, which was the last in stock, after only 3 weeks on lay-away! Shop elsewhere, please.

PC Richard & Son - the floor model was scratched when delivered, and I am still waiting for my credit... so long to a 20 year customer

First the delivered only the Washer . Then were supposed to deliver the Dryer and the base for the Washer, which they forgot the first time. Took the washer out on my deck flipped it completley over installed the pedestal, scratched the entire top of the Dryer...and.. when they re installed the washer..it no longer worked.

After much back and forth, they could only replace it with a floor model which I was tld was in perfect condition, and i was to recieve $150 credit. The floor model was scratched when delivered, and i am still waiting for my credit...So Long to a 20 Year customer

PC Richard & Son - I received my ge money statement for pc richards. I was charged a late fee and my interest was sent to 29.99 even when my payment was made on time.

I was informed that although it stated on the statement :due by 5pm eastern by due date" that on weekends payments must be made a day before. Now how would you know this when it states the terms on the statement? Are GE Moneys terms and conditions not legal and binding? They will credit my account next month... so I have to pay until they fix because they refused to issue an immediate credit and change my interest rate. I have filed a comlaint with the NJS Attorney Generals office and suggest all that got screwed do the same.

PC Richard & Son - joe botros jr.8246 was extremely rude & obnoxious & never offered any advice of how to solve problem.

We have a less than a 1year old refrigerator which we paid extra for a 10 year warranty on, apparently has a faulty ice maker that suddenly started leaking today & caused major flooding damage in our kitchen all the way down to our basement. We called a PC Richards customer service supervisor who first delayed calling us back until servicemen were off duty, then started the conversation with Joe Botros Jr.8246 confrontational attitude & told us someone would be here sometime tomorrow completely ignoring the urgency of the problem. Joe Botros Jr.8246 was extremely rude & obnoxious & never offered any advice of how to solve problem.

PC Richard & Son - joe botros jr 8246 told us the first service appointment is 2 weeks. (and who knows how long they will delay for parts or a replacement).

We purchased a washer and dryer almost 3 years ago and paid a significant amount for a 10 year extended warranty on each (almost 40% of the purchase price). The machines were installed (by PC Richard) in my 2nd floor laundry room. This weekend, water started coming through my kitchen ceiling. When we called the service department first thing this morning, Joe botros jr. 8246 told us the first service appointment is 2 weeks from now (and who knows how long they will delay for parts or a replacement). Water has continued to drip out of the back of the washer (yes, my husband turned the water supply off). It is a small amount but I am worried about the water damage to my floor/ceiling and cannot believe a 2 week wait is the kind of service that the salesman promised- "you'll be totally protected for 10 years."

PC Richard & Son - would not advise anyone to purchase a large appliance from this company.

I purchased a fridge from pc richard and upon delivery today the driver told me it was damaged and it would have to be returned. I called the store in Paramus and they cant get another until tomorrow!. I took off from work today for this and now I have to *** tomorrow as well?. The manager Craig would not give me a delivery time;. I am really annoyed because I think they should have checked the products before placing them on the truck/. I would not advise anyone to purchase a large appliance from this company.. I cant wait to get a survey asking about their service|. I am completely pissed|. mary

Filing a new complaint about
PC Richard & Son sold me a service contract for my kitchen appliances. Getting them to show up, takes nothing short of a miracles!. I placed 5 calls to 5 different store managers and, I still have a broken refrigerator".

If you contact them by phone you will be kept waiting up to 20 minutes!.

While on hold you will be told over and over, how important your call is to them..

You will not be compensated in any way for the time you have spent waiting".Also, do not expect an apology if and when a repairman shows up..

Avoid service contracts".

PC Richard & Son - I would appreciate a response including reimbursement for my loss.

The refrigerator died. I had my refrigerator for 2 years and it just stopped working. I have an extended warrenty and I called the service number on a Friday and they did not respond until Tuesday. In the interim I had to throw away hundreds of dollars of good food. I sent your company a letter and it has been a month and the company has yet to respond. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and I cannot afford to replace all of the food that I had to throw in the garbage because your company refuses to take responsibility for the refrigerator.
I would appreciate a response including reimbursement for my loss. Being on a fixed income I have to make choices between my medication and my food on a monthly basis. Your attention to this matter is of utmost importance to me.

PC Richard & Son - if you are going to shop at pc richard... do not make an &impulse buy&.

Be careful when purchasing from them. My experience was that the sales rep Joe Botros Jr 8246 witheld information about this product, after I specifically asked about the performance of this unit. Then, he claimed that the return/exchange policy was explained to me(Once his boss showed up). Clearly I would have moved more slowly had I known I could not return the appliance.

I recently purchased an AMANA 14, 000 BTU Portable Air-Conditioner. I wanted a unit that would cool a basement room/low ceiling, 320SqFt Room(Approx). Since I have a couple of window units in other parts of the house, ... 8, 000 & 10, 000 BTU ... in slightly smaller rooms, I figured that a 14, 000 BTU should do the trick. He assured me it would be more than adequate, after I drilled him for 20 minutes or so. Unfortunately, I seem to have missed a few questions, and he didn't offer any other information to help make the purchase. I even sprung for the 3 year extended warrantee. Total of $659.

I left the unit on for 7 days straight and the lowest daytime temperature in the room was 73 degrees next to the air-conditioner, and 79 degrees on the other side of the room. I added a small fan to circulate the air better, and it did even out a bit (Daytime temperature outside was in the low 90's.). Remember, this is a basement, which is typically cooler as it is.

I went back to PC Richard the next Saturday, and the sales rep Joe Botros Jr 8246 now informs me that in fact, these portable air-conditioners are not as efficient as the window unit. SO ... as a test ... I brought the new AMANA upstairs and hooked it up. It did not work as well as my smaller 8000 BTU Window unit.

SO ... I packed the unit up and brought it back. The sales rep Joe Botros Jr 8246 then informes me that they do not accept returns on Air-conditioners. Only "Replacement". He even had the balls to tell me that I asked that question and he told me the return policy 2 weeks earlier when I bought it. Had I been told I could not return it, I would not have purchased the thing and done some online research in advance. They wanted me to take another Air-contitioner;. Replacement only is their policy.. Since the room I needed it for could not accept a window air-conditioner, and I was not going to get another portable unit, we were at an impass:.

The hang up was that I now had the unit for 16 days, and it as too long to return it'. I might of had better lusk if I had boxed it up a week earlier instead of testing it out on the first floor'. After a small battle, I ended up with store credit'.

If you are going to shop at PC Richard ... DO NOT make an "Impulse buy".

I need a dishwasher anyhow, but once this store credit is used up, I'm done with PC Richard

Well, I have to side with the store on this one. Not to say that you were trying a stunt, but can you imagine how many window units would be getting returned at the end of a heat wave if they gave your money back with no restrictions? Also, with the weather this summer here in NJ, I am willing to bet the outside temp peaked at more like 100 degrees, and the room temps you described hardly construe a defective unit under those conditions. And they would have given you a new one anyway in the event the A/C really was defective. At least you got store credit - I think that was pretty fair under the circumstances. You even say you are going to buy a dishwasher, so that seems like a good end result. I sold appliances for many years to builders, and went to P.C. (Mount Laurel NJ) this spring to buy a Maytag front-loading washer/dryer pair that was advertised in the Sunday paper. The sales process was smooth, no pressure tactics when I refused the extended warranty, and I even got $75 off on each of the pedestals with a little haggling. Delivery was on time, the guys did a great job, and we were pleased with the transaction. The salesman even at the last second got me a form to send to NJ Energy Star for a $50 rebate for the washer, which was not even shown in the ad. Believe me, I am the first to ### about a rip-off (see my rant about TD Bank), but I think you were treated pretty fairly on this A/C return.

PC Richard & Son - extreme poor customer service. purchased an ac. worked once. could not return.

Do not buy from pc richards. Merchandise, open or used not returnable, service done in accordance w/manufacturers warranty, unless you bought pc richards “extended service plan”. Bought an a/c lg l1210er. Worked once, called customer service. We had to wait 1 week for service tech. He tells us to bring back broken unit and get a new one. I called the store (Levittown), can’t bring back until tech information is put into computer. Called customer service, info will be in by tomorrow morning. Explained I am bringing a 5 year old home from hospital. Ma’am, you have to wait. Let me speak to supervisor. She will call you back within an hour. Call another pc richards number. Get a customer service person who turns out to be the “supervisor” I was waiting for. She said, ma’am I have it on my desk and I was going to call you when I put it in the computer, you just had to be patient. Call the levittown store. They have to check stock and will call me back. They do not have in stock. I can pick it up from warehouse in farmingdale". Call farmingdale warehouse!. You can bring broken unit here and pick up the new one.. Go to farmingdale, told that we can’t drop off broken unit here, have to drop off in store first/. Then go there or another pc richards that have model in stock?. Finally, spoke to a service rep who spoke to manager in levittown who took the broken unit back and gave us a different model/. Took the new one out of box and the back fins were smashed in/. It was a generations (Only sold @pc richards) gac12ers3a 12, 000btu, looked on line they gave it to us for the same price as the lg $299:.97, it is on sale for $279.00. I also heard from 2 additional people who recently had similar problems

PC Richard & Son - the model was not part on the promotion so no rebate. I have tried to contact pc richards and have not heard from them.

I purchased an air conditioner with the understanding that I would receive a rebate from the manufacturer. After a few weeks from the time I mailed in the paperwork I received a letter from the manufacturer stating the model was not part on the promotion so no rebate. I have tried to contact PC Richards and have not heard from them, they are the ones how gave me the forms with the models that were eligible, mine was on it.

They also screwed up the day it was to be installed. I had to scramble and pay a lot more get it put in since I had made arraignments to have my handicapped father out of the house and taken the day off from work and couldn't change things at the last minute.
