We were seated in a dirty dining room, several of tables were not bused. We sat and waited... And waited after 16 we got up to leave. It was only 5:30 and the restaurant was not crowded. We went to the front and asked for the manger and one again we waited over 6 minutes for him to come. And when we voiced our concerns he shrugged his shoulders. So we left and went to another restaurant where we had a nice meal and good service. The date was 12/28/19

TGI Fridays - over all experience

We recently visited this TGI FRIDAY'S location while making an over night stop in Jersey from Virginia before heading to New York. This restaurant was perfect for us being that it was walking distance to our hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn behind the restaurant. We looked online and saw that they were open until 12 which was perfect since we had been stuck in traffic all evening and would still be able to get a hot meal before calling it a night. We walked in at 11:20 pm which trust me we all hate being that last minute person but it was also still 40 mins before close - plenty of time, which we had already decided to do TOGO food to not be "those people" and just wanted to have a drink while we waited. After sitting at the bar for almost 5 minutes while the bartender wiped down the bar, she finally came over asked what we were drinking and told us she needed to check to see if the kitchen was still open. After being gone for several minutes, she returned and said she was "sorry but everything had been shut down." So we began to Google pizza places so we could get food. While doing that the bar tender, still having 2 tables and 2 bar guests, looked at a server who still had tables and was waiting on bar drinks and said that it was last call. It was 11:35 at this point. I'm not sure how corporate/chain restaurants work in New Jersey but the one that I bar tend for does not operate like this. If a guest walks in at 11:59 and we close at 12:00 we have to serve them. Needless to say we will not be returning to this establishment which is a shame because there is such potential and opportunity being that close to a hotel.
