TGI Fridays Mixed Experiences at T.G.I. Fridays

As a regular at T.G.I. Fridays, I have had mixed experiences that reflect the diverse reviews shared by other customers. While the ambiance and service have generally been satisfactory, the quality of the food and pricing have left much to be desired. On some occasions, the meals were overpriced for the portion sizes and lacked the expected flavors. Additionally, there have been instances of slow service and inconsistencies in food preparation. Despite these shortcomings, the friendly staff and occasional positive experiences keep me coming back, hoping for a more consistent dining experience in the future.

TGI Fridays Food and cleaning of toilets

We attended last night for a family meal the food was very poor quality with small portions for the price. The drinks were flat and had to be changed we asked for some water at the table they didn’t have any water jugs the drinks we did receive didn’t have any ice. Glasses were dirty and cutlery too. The food was poorly presented on tiny plates. The toilets were unusable due to the state they had been left in toilet paper all over the floor one blocked and urine on the seats that had been there a long time. If I had seen the state of the toilet at the beginning of our meal we would not have stayed and eaten

TGI Fridays Restaurant facility

We visited 6th November @7pm. Upon arrival nobody greeted us at the door, after a while I attempted to approach a member of staff who said “I’ll be with you in a minute” ? What could be more important than customers waiting to be seated?

Eventually we sat down to notice how cold it was in the restaurant and that everyone around us still had their coats on ! We also never removed our coats ? We were served our drinks and food which was really nice but completely spoiled by the temperature in the facility!

We left before we would normally as we were so cold! We did mention it to the staff to be told ! “ oh we don’t have any heating?

The outside temperature was probably 12 degrees but it felt equally cold in the restaurant, I don’t know what it will be like when winter kicks in properly ? And I’m sure they do have heating but probably told not to put it on ?

The whole experience was spoiled….

TGI Fridays Chicken Cobb Salad

I normally order a million-dollar cobb salad at least 4 times a month. So I place an order to pick up my million-dollar chicken cobb salad that supposed to have avocado in it. I picked it up got back to office, only to find my salad had no avocado. This is annoying to me and not the 1st time this had happened at this location. Again, I was very disappointed for the avocado brings flavor to the salad. Had I known they did not have avocado, I would have not ordered the salad.

TGI Fridays Food quality

Chicken wings were the worst ones i’ve ever had from fridays was a quarter of the size they normally are tasted like frozen cheep re hearted wings that I couldn’t eat as they tasted so bad also are not the same wings that are advertised on the menu. Chip were over done and tasteless. Shrimp was fine so was dessert over all worst meal i’ve had from here

I placed an order on 9/16/2023. Immediately after placing the order, I realized it was for pick up and called the restaurant to cancel the order. I have made several attempts to retrieve my refund to no avail. I feel my money was stolen and no is making an attempt to resolve the issue but me. All I"m asking for is a refund and some type of resolve for the inconvenience.

TGI Fridays Burnt cold food

We attended you restaurant at Meadowhall uk yesterday and ordered half rack of unlimited ribs a Friday glazed burger and a kids chicken bites all chips was cold ! I normally love the ribs as the meat just fell off the bone but not yesterday it was burnt and like leather hardly any meat I get there are all char grilled but there char grilled and burnt usally these are amazing but today was a let down

The burger was well over cooked!

Both big meals was awful the kids meal broccoli was hard and chips was cold but chicken was lovely !

I normally don’t complain but as this is a treat every once in a while I was highly dissatisfied with the food and made me wonder if this is no longer a nice place to eat ! I have attached my receipt

TGI Fridays Service

Me and my wife decided to go to TGI for an evening meal out the food and service was very very good until we received the receipt I have a blue light card which gives me 20% off at your restaurants so I was a bit disappointed when I received my first bill which had my discount but at the very bottom the server had put a £10 service charge onto my bill null and voiding my 20% all together

I then had to challenge the server and ask why this was on the receipt he then went and changed it and bought a new receipt without the charge on

In my opinion this is robbery!

TGI Fridays Rude lack of staff / poor service / poor food / ruined birthday experiment

We attended coventry site yesterday for my daughters 7th birthday.

I have so many issues with my visit:

- lack of staff

- appauling wait time, had to go to front of house after 25mins to order drinks as staff no where to be seen or in kitchen or serving the other 2 tables that came in after us and ignoring me shout excuse me 3 times! Then staff rude when approached about us waiting so long

- personalised birthday cake topper set on fire by staff

- a waiter dropped the kids salad bowl on floor, seen it but didn’t acknowledge it and walked off, I had to ask for a new pot.

- lots of tables left with dirty plates and cups around us.

- most of staff in random clothing and not in uniform.

- cokes were watered down from melted ice clearly waiting to be taken to tables and full of ice.

- my chicken main came out cold so had to be returned to be reheated. I was not offered what side/fries and just given normal fries.

- sauce pots on tables had hardly anything in them, had to walk round restaurant to find bit’s needed, when asked a waiter he said he will try find one on table we explained weve already done that, we asked are there none out back? he said probably not. Not helpful.

- my partners burger was soggy, when picked up it fell apart as so wet. Chicken dry and chewy.

TGI Fridays Takeaway/delivery

I order our Fathers day meal yesterday, and when it arrived it stated on the receipt that there was no JD sauce.

We ordered a starter and a mains of the JD sesame chicken strips and when they arrived they were just plain bits of chicken piece. I also ordered an extra pot of JD sauce.

I feel this show have been mentioned once placing the order so we could of choose something different.

Please can someone look into this as i feel a small refund isn’t enough as our meal was at a poor standard.

I placed the order via deliveroo on 18/06/24 @ 18.35.

TGI Fridays Miscommunication

I booked a table months ago for my daughters 18th told the table would be decorated accordingly to arrive they couldn’t find my reservation we were given a table in the corner had to wait 50mins for food server was in rush and didn’t even wait for my daughter to finish what she was asking to order untill he said next … overrated and not worth the money toilets were messy tables were full of dirty plates I won’t be visiting the Birmingham establishment again

TGI Fridays Telford restaurant

I dined at your TELFORD restaurant with my girlfriend to celebrate her 18th birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was quite poor. We had to wait for 45 minutes just to place our drink order, and then an additional half an hour to actually receive our drinks. Furthermore, we waited for an hour for our food, only to be served the wrong order, which was also cold. We were in the restaurant from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

The customer service was extremely disappointing, and the quality of the incorrect food was very low. When I received the full bill, I raised my concerns and requested some form of compensation for the overall terrible experience. Initially, I was offered a 10% deduction, but I challenged this and eventually received a 25% reduction.

In hindsight, I believe I should not have had to pay for this meal at all. It truly spoiled what should have been a meaningful and enjoyable evening to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday.

Desired outcome: total refund of £50 and consideration of extra for inconvenience and awful experience

TGI Fridays Customer service Robina Australia

We had a terrible experience Robina branch Saturday. Went out for a friends birthday pre NRL. Waited over an hour for food to come out after making three seperate complaints. Rest of party had to wait for us, most of whom had finished eating 30 mins prior. Kids were very upset as we missed the pre show fireworks as a result. We were given a free pint ten mins before we left (so no time to drink) and told we would get a full discount. To make matters worse we weren’t given a discount at all and had the full $160 charged to account. Very disappointing. Staff were badly trained and were actually rude despite when first two requests for food to come out were made! I have made a complaint on the customer service site but have had no response so will put a few public posts up around unless a response is given.
