Optimum - Payment charge

Company sent a man to connect our new internet service and the man went to the old address. I called him and asked where he was and he said that he was sent to the last address. I asked him to come to the correct address 3 blocks up and he replied that he couldn't because his job was to work at the "designated" address they sent him to. I told him how nonsensical that was that they'd send a new set up of a 3 year customer to her old address. He did not come to set up the internet. We quit Optimum after spending more than 6 hours collectively on the phone to get someone to come out and to not charge me for their wrong address arrival. They're still trying to charge me and have sent me to collections.

Desired outcome: Remove me from your collections and contact list ASAP.

Optimum - Cancel account due to death of service holder from covid-19

I am trying to cancel cable account for my father who passed away from complications of COVID-19. After four days of trying to get to a person with phone calls that hang up before a person answers or finally a live chat who couldn't help I finally got a "customer service agent." I'm told the account can't be closed until I go to the local office with a copy of the death certificate and the equipment. I understand they want their equipment back which I have no access to due lockout from the senior living he was in and my own social distancing mandate. Furthermore I don't have the death certificate yet and feel they have no right to require a copy. I also don't live near their office. Until then their policy won't allow them to do anything. I could call as"my father' and cancel but need numbers off the cable box which I can't get access to. I was the one that opened the account and receive and pay the bills. If I wanted to add programming that would be "NO PROBLEM."
I'm trying to stop added billing. Returning the equipment in person is not reasonable at anytime. I've had other services that just asked the equipment be shipped which they arranged for local shipping place to drop it off at their expense.
I realize these are difficult times but the way Optimum does business is terrible for my circumstances. We are weeks into this crisis and the company doesn't have a plan or care to assist other than to help increase their income with extra accounts and/or programming.
I would never recommend their service.
I won't be surprised if the ask for a bailout. I hope their response in these times is reviewed. Do they deserve it? NO!
