On 7/15/21 at 9:10 pm I'm driving down the Long Island expressway when my brand new 2021 Kia Telluride that I purchased 5 months ago decides to slow down on its own almost causing a crash on the expressway. Thank god I was able to move and be able to fully stop not knowing what is really going on with the car. I decided to put the car on the drive but the car would not pull off. I gave it gas and the car was still put. I called immediately KIA roadside assistance which I waited almost an hour to get someone on the line to then get hung upon. I then called 911 cause I was in the middle of the highway not knowing if I'm going to get hit. A cop came to my rescue and I still couldn't get KIA roadside assistance on the phone. Had to get my car push to the Emergency lane. I then had to pay someone to pick me up from the location I was in. This is when the hell began. I was able to get someone from KIA roadside assistance on the line the following day who helped me get a tow truck to pick up the car and take it to the dealership. I then get to Generation Kia in Long island where I originally purchased my 2021 Kia Telluride from and also recently got my oil change from. As I speak to a service manager he then advises me that the car has to stay there to get checked. I explained to the service manager that I called out from work, I'm unhappy with my overall experience with KIA, and that I need a loner car until they figure out what happens to the car. He then tells me he can't give me a loner car because he doesn't have one and that I need to get myself a rental which I have to pay out of pocket. With all the cars that are there, they can't give me one not realizing that My car note is due on the 26th. The service manager tells me that what happened to my car was a mechanical issue and that they need to order a new transmission for the car. I express my concerns with the service manager and I told him I don't feel safe with the car anymore and to please get me a loner car. The finance manager and salesperson advised me to get into another car which I didn't mind reconsidering and started the process. I then get told that because of what happened to my car I need to wait for them to fix the issue with the transmission to get out of the car.
Desired outcome: I want to get out of the Telluride and not pay the negative equity that the car has. All my expensive be paid from the date of incident to now. My experience with KIA by far has been horrible.
