Mavis Discount Tire

I was visiting friends in NY.in the course of driving from my home in Pennsylvania to Buffalo, I lost brakes. Took to Mavis on Ridge Rd Lackawanna. Was given quote of $1, 790 to have numerous things repaired! I told him I wanted JUST the brakes done so I could get back home to Pennsylvania and have my own mechanic look at, and do what repairs needed to be done. The cost for that was $771! When I told him I didnt have that much money, his reply was "Well, how much money DO you have?" My rear tires are brand new, just purchased 3 months ago! Struts were replaced this past summer! Front brakes were replaced this past summer also, as well as the rotors! Then, while sitting there for 2 1/2 hours waiting for them to take my vehicle in, I get to listen to one of the mechanics standing in the doorway, screaming "[censored]: every other word of his rant! I will NEVER go to, or recommend, a Mavis shop ever! I will be driving from Buffalo, NY back to Emporium, Pa with no brakes! He put on his"receipt"that I"refused all service"... I refused what THEY wanted to do, not what I wanted done!
