AVOID WEST HEMPSTEAD LOCATION AT ALL COSTS! The woman who calls herself the manager has the worst attitude. They plugged my tire, and it went flat in a day without being driven. When I went back, she refused to service my car because they were "too busy" she told me to come back at 5pm. I offered to leave the car but she refused. Of course when I went back at 5, she refused me again. When I complained and reminded her that they screwed up and she had lied, she sent me to the Franklin Square location. They couldn't believe she had me drive there on a flat tire, and agreed that's probably why I ended up needing to buy a new tire for $250. Avoid the West Hempstead location. Franklin Square location is far superior!
Mavis Discount Tire - brakes
I brought my car into Mavis on 1/24/20 because the brakes were pulsing, Michael did the estimate and said I needed new front brakes and rotors I agreed to the repair, after the repair was done the car continued to pulse but worse, I brought it back the next day and Michael and I took it for a test drive he said sometimes we get warped new rotors and asked me to bring it back the next day to see Jerry the service manager which I did. Jerry told me I need new calipers and it would be another 150. dollars, I asked him why wasn't this told to me in the original estimate, he said sometimes they don't look at them. I went back to speak to Michael who did the original estimate and he told me it would be another 349.00 for the calipers and break drums. Very dishonest I had it repaired elsewhere and did not need new rotors or calipers.
