Dr. Orest kozicky's office sent a 3 month prescription for Polyethylene glycol 3350 NF powder to this pharmacy on 10/21. I never got a call that it was ready for pickup, so I called on Saturday, 10/26. I was told repeatedly that the doctor never contacted them. I wouldn't accept that because the doctor's office called me to let me know that the prescription had been submitted.
When I asked for the prescription by name, the woman at the pharmacy said that the doctor said I could buy Miralax over the counter. I asked if and when the doctor had said that. I was told 10/21. I asked if those were his exact words. She said yes.
I hung up and planned to call my doctor on Monday. However, after giving this some thought, it seemed strange that the doctor would call a pharmacy for an over the counter product. It made no sense, especially since the doctor's office made a call to me saying that the prescription had been submitted and never mentioned Miralax.
So, I called the pharmacy again, and explained my thoughts on the matter.
The pharmacist, Fifa, came on the phone and said that CVS had been unable to get the product. I asked why they never called to let me know and why were not honest with me. Fifa said the clerk was trying to do me a "favor."
I cannot believe the blatant lying! This pharmacy is the worst. Sometimes, they take a week to get a prescription and do not let you know. I've waited hours on the phone for them to pick up.
I had planned to call the doctor on Monday. He would have told me they were lying. When I was in his office, he specifically said he would order Polyethylene Glycol because it was cheaper than Miralax.
CVS said they would let me know Monday if they can get my product. I'm writing you this so that you can assure me it will not happen again. I have been using this pharmacy for over 40 years!
