I placed an order for carryout on 01.27.23 for pickup online the pickup time was for 7:13pm (ordered at 6:20pm) I arrived at 7:15pm walked in and waited for 5-10 minutes with no one helping the guests at the carryout counter. While waiting there was an uber eats driver stating that she had been waiting 20 minutes and that no one greeted or asked the name of the carryout order. I decided to move to the counter with the register so someone could see me, there was a customer cashing out and had a bag of orange peanuts (candy) and something else that he wanted to add to his check the so-called manager barked off at him it's going to be a minute. At that point she said to me can I help you? I told her I had a carryout order in a short, toned voice she asked my name I told her teri she walked over to the food window and never came back. There were 5 gentleman who had came in and she approached the stand and immediately said it's going to be a 15 to 20 minute wait we are understaffed, and we have one cook. They said ok she asked the name they said matthew, once she walked away, they decided to leave. Table 52 came to the counter and had no check stated they waited 20 minutes for coffee. There were 6 booths in the restaurant and 2 servers the manager and another older lady. There was an older couple who came and the manager in turn barked off its going to a 15 to 20 wait. I felt sorry for them for the way she was speaking to customers. I finally received my food from a young lady who made sure everything was in order. I walked out of the store at 745pm shaking my head thinking I will never order there again. I am a hr manager and could not believe that the lady with long gray hair was in a management position and servicing guests the way she was. I would not be surprised if table 52 didn't also write a complaint from 01.27.23. I love bob evans meals and normally never have an issue but if that lady continues to speak and behave like that with customers I will not return.
