Walmart - Return

My son got a job at Mcdonalds about 3 months ago he wanted to save money for the things he wanted and one was an Xbox 360. Well he finally had enough and yesterday we went to walmart to get his 360. He was so happy and me as his mother was so proud that he was learning what working was all about. Well we get home from walmart and open the box. It was a mess. the controller was covered in dirt or food. Nothing was sealed in the the proper way. It was horrible. My son had just paid full price for a used Xbox. I was upset. I made him pack it back up and we went back up to walmart. We were treated horrible. They were very rude to us it was unforgiveable. They did give him his money back. But I bet they put that back on the shelf for someone else to buy. They didn't even let us fill out the form as to why we were returning it. I lost gas and time and also my respect for walmart! They also never said the were SORRY.

I have been able to return things to Walmart without receipts and just get money put onto a card. I went in happy with doing this when I was returning a broken adapter I had bought only a few days beforehand. I had my receipt, and didn't expect to get much trouble. What had happened was, I got home after buying this only to see that when I opened the box, the adapter end was bent and it rattled which.. meant itwas broken. I still tried to see if it would work, but it wouldn't. I get there, explain to them what happened, and they tell me that they won't accept it. I asked why and they accused me of replacing a good adapter with a broken one and returning the broken one. I was so offended by this, and asked to speak to a manager. They refused to get the manager, and said not even he could do anything. They smirked and asked me to leave since they couldn't do anything, and I asked them if they basically just took $50 from me, and they smiled and said yes and told me to have a nice day. They said they wouldn't screw up like that so it had to be me. The picture on the box is the exact same as the adapter. Yea, people could see it in many lights, but I am so sick of the customers always being blamed for crap like this. I don't just have $50 to hand out. I have tried returning it on 3 other occasions and the manager refuses to talk to me still. I contacted the online help, and they said the are reviewing it, but they have been for a long time now. Pretty annoyed with all this.

I went in w/ a bra that I had purchased that was BROKEN. I tried it on removed the tags and then noticed that the adjusters on were BROKEN and the straps wouldnt stay up. I took it into the store and the "Manager" -- whose name was CHERISSE, proceeded to tell me that it was a health hazard to bring it in the store, she wouldnt return it, or exchange it and I was just STUCK w/ a broken bra. First of all, she couldnt have been the "Customer Service Manager" cause no "Manager" should roll her eyes at someone trying to return a defective product. I was so mad. I truely do not return/exchange things and when I notice something it broken..and I paid $$ for it..I expect it to be made right. CHERISSE sucked w/ BAD attitude and BAD customer service. I average about $200-250 a week at Walmart. NOT ANYMORE.

I purchased fabric to make curtains for my grandson's room, my kids changed their minds about having the "Cars" theme, so I took the fabric back this morning. I had purchased all the fabric on one bolt, it was in 2 pieces, I paid for 10.25 yds and 2.75 yds at $4.44 a yard, $57.72. When I returned it they had me take it to the fabric dept. to be measured, the larger amount measured only 8.25 yards, so I had paid for 2 yards that I didn't have, I didn't know that I had been shorted because I had never taken the fabric out of the bag. I am so angry, I paid almost $10.00 for fabric I didn't get, I trusted that the clerk new how to measure or count. They only refunded for the material that was measured. The clerk who remeasured checked it twice, she was a different clerk than the one who helped me on Sept. 16. If this had been a mistake that amounted to a couple of dollars I wouldn't complain, but this was just under $10.00.

I fully agree that Walmart is cheating, lying, stealing, and even doing a lot of false advertising. When you think you are getting a deal, you better check your receipts. They jump the price on you at the register. Happens all the time! But they pretend to be innocient. I believe Walmart is corrupting the employees minds. They all lie!

You are lucky you even got to return it, normally all sales are final on cut fabric.

Do not take "no" for an answer. Be nice, but stubborn.

You'll get your money back.

you stated that you have returned other things with no receipt, why is that? After certain amounts of times, the CSM might find it suspicious. If your items are over 25 dollars, the register is gonna ask for your I.D. Which after 3 more returns with no receipt, your gonna be blocked from returning anything else with no receipt for 6 months. And I don't think the cashiers would laugh and smirk and tell you to leave the store, unless your known for scamming them. And about blaming the customers, customers can be rude to us cashiers but yet they dont like it when it turns around on them.
