Today, I set about ordering 2 pre-made countertops from HD.
The system would not allow me to order online, because "my store" was out of them.
The internet system would not allow ship to store for pickup or ship to my home.
I called "my store" & they were at lunch. An hour later they called & could not order the product for me; said I would have to come to the store.
As it turns out, even if I had come to the store their system wouldn't allow them to order the product.
They found a store 40 miles away with the product in stock, but could not order & transfer to "my store" for pickup?
I ordered from the store 40 miles away (over the phone from a guy at the pro-desk who sounded totally inconvenienced) & sent my wife to pickup... upon calling the store to pull for pickup, they said can't pickup ‘Till tomorrow? Must wait my turn? Had to talk to the store manager to get an exception?
During this 6 hour "orderfest " I was transferred to a number that rang forever without being answer 5 times at 2 different stores.
I am a huge HD customer, spending tens of thousands a year both personally & on my commercially account.
That is about to stop if I don't start getting some service.
Too many rules! Untrained help. Inflexible sysems. Too few associates to answer the phone. A voice phone system that doesn't work!
6 hours & aan 80 mile drive for 2 items? I don't think I can afford order # h4017-288618
