Stayed at Altoona PA Super 8. Presented my credit card to pay for our rooms. Front desk slid card NUMEROUS times and declared it was declined. Tried sons card, declined, tried my card, declined then oh wait! Went through. Checked my online account with cards, it was charged! Three times before card locked for suspicious behavior. Personal card charged 3 times! Was told those charges would drop off. Have screen shots for all accounts as proof. Asked for level one floor as my husband is sick and cannot do stairs. This hotel has no elevators. Gave us 3rd floor. Said only 3rd floor has their smoking rooms. I don't think other guests got the memo as marijuana smoke was all through the hotel all floors. I asked for safe deposit to be returned as we didnt need safe, and one room had no key. Was refunded 96 cents. Instead of 2.12. Brought to manager, Dave's attention. Did receive a 73.17 refund on personal bank card. Still insisting credit card was declined. Contacted credit card and talked to them. They said there was numerous more attempts on card so they froze it. I told them the charges to allow, called Super 8 again. As manager dave has another job in addition to his job there, I was rudely told I would have to wait till Monday for him to deal with this. In the meantime, these fraudulent charges are bouncing my account everywhere. My husband has not recovered from his stay there. I was told I signed paperwork and I was stuck with the problem. And I have a transaction receipt with the original card that should have been charged. The rudeness and condensation attitude of Dave has triggered my PSTD very badly. I was happy to just pay the original amount on my original card but feel that I am due a total refund for the treatment I received. Will never stay at ANY Wyndham property again. And definately NOT Super 8 Altoona, PA. If I would have been treated better I would have been happy. Now I want refund. And the front desk clerk who is "partially deaf and misunderstood me" as manager stated himself, needs help at the desk. And manager needs more customer service training and maybe take THIS job more seriously. By the way, he couldnt get back to me as he had "lost my number". I had to call hotel to get updates! The card that should have been charged was a Capital One card! NOT THE CARD ENDING IN 5900!
Desired outcome: Total Refund now. For trouble and anxiety caused
