This is the 2nd worst hotel in saskatoon... the location is horrible.. plagued by homeless people looking for butts... street thugs lookin for somethin to steal or someone to rob... my gfs car had the window smashed. Even with security cameras DIRECTLY FACING VEHICLE. The manager gave no care at all. and mine was smashed 1 week later... again nothing was done... at the same time as that someone drove away. I reported it stolen! Still no care. Wow. They should have security. Very unsafe.. But are to cheap to hire someone to do so.
The rooms are small with broken or pieced together appliances... it's dirty in every corner or underneath anything that requires effort to move... my 5 yeat old daughter was inches away from almost stepping on a OPEN NEEDLE a slight bit under the bed. Which shows the effort level of cleaning. The worst part is that the big guy who is part owner is loud mouthed and rude, never spoke but if he did it would be disrespectful somehow... half of the staff were ignorant.. rude, stuck up although us (ourselves) are Caucasian and dressed respectively, and both have nice 2014 vehicles. I had asked a staff member the same night 5 times for a roll of toliet paper... Or even some tissue as we had none and my daughter had a runny nose. Came down each time he would say he will he 5 minutes. And he is sitting on his phone in the lobby. I was shocked. I have never seen such a thing. We stayed almost 2 months! Not once were we asked if we needed room service. Or towels. we would be LUCKY if there WAS any CLEAN towels. The laundry room was a mess. Unfolded and unwashed towels everywhere. he wasn't able to even FIND a towel for me. And told me wait outside. Wow... not helpful in any request that was made to them... on top of rooms being overpriced... they still demand a 200 deposit...
I should add that at 10am.. they were literally pouring and yelling at my door.. mutiple times as we were all asleep still... her and myself and 4 year old girl were not dressed and in bed as I was woken not knowing what was going on.. I went online booking to extend our stay and pay for another night... the knocking started again! after yelling through the door back and forth.. stating we would not appreciate people coming in to our room right now... we were threatened to allow whomever entrance inside.
WHY? To "check" the wifi.! NOT OKAY. if we were given NOTICE prior to this happening the night prior, which we checked in and spoke to front desk. That is fine. SO, what if we werent in our room? They would have entered without our consent? What if something was taken! AFTER THE RANDOM WIFI AND STAFF MEMBER LEFT OUR ROOM. we also WERE NOT DRESSED. laying underneath the covers! My small daughter was crying and scared...
strange man coming in our room!... we were all trying to get dressed, we were discussing if we should stay here.. after this event when the pounding on the door started YET again! this time with a loud voice demanding we get dressed immediately and open the door soo we were dressed but told our 5 year old to get under the bed covers... had started to say calmly, that I was paying for another night... and the big guy (manager) started screaming in my face he wasn't going to extend us and to get out now... get ur things and get out... I was stunned.. and at that point some guy with a drill in hand walked right by me in to our room and started poking around and looking everywhere.. and these are small rooms so my gf and child were unable to even get past so we sat and watched in disbelief.. I was still in shock when the guy shook his head and finally walked out... meanwhile the bug guy was yelling the whole time and he has a very loud voice as he was basically trying to intimidate us... since I wasn't saying a word he finally relented and I managed to close the door...
It took us at least 15 min just to talk with each other, calm down, and feel ok again.. we started packing up. All our stuff that was still everywhere as we were not planning to leave that morning... and since me and my gf were obviously upset... so was our 4 year old daughter whom is not capable of dealing with it.. began throwing tantrums and making it extremely hard to get packed or ready to go... eventually we did manage to get our stuff in the cars and our child.. at which point I went back in to get my security deposit back... and was told the big guy had said we were a late checkout now and they kept 50 dollars from my 200... and I tried to explain to the guy at front desk what had happened and that was the only reason we were late... but he said I'd have to talk to the big guy about it.. and to come back the next day as he had already left... ALSO the mean front desk staff member wouldn't give my 5 year old her favorite chocolate muffin because we missed breakfast due to the morning fiasco! She cried f.o. r.e. v.e. r. I even offered to buy it for 5$ he said "TOO BAD NOT MY PROBLEM" lucky I stayed calm or I would have punched him in the face.
Sooooo all in alll this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in... by far.. it was horrible beyond words
and I am only writing this review to warn others not to stay here.. I should add as I left there was 3 other people outside complaining and upset because they had been treated wrongly too!
It is sad that these places get away with the things they do!
Please, I know we aren't the only ones that have been treated unfairly. This needs to be seen by a superintendent of some sort.
Thanks again

Claimed loss: 100 deposit
Desired outcome: The customer service and the manager. Absolutely terrible. My boyfriend. 5 year old daughter and myself would like an apology. The whole establiment should be seen be a executive manager. Alot of things are wrong. Disturbing.
