filthy rooms, rude staff
Horrible experience. I will never come back here. No parking on site— huge pain! When we checked in they said there wasn't any parking available at the moment. Really!? So we waited for almost 20 minutes while they tried to "figure it out." Then they tried to put us in a sketchy lot behind a Subway across the street and conveniently there were no spots availbale. So we went back to the unfriendly front staff and, after waiting some more (with small children), they finally put us in a garage next door (40 minutes after we first went to check in, we finally got parking and into our room). But that wasn't the worst of it. The room was dirty (hairs on the floor, cigarette butt on balcony, filthy baseboards and walls) and no wash clothes at all or enough towels for the number of guests staying in room. When we called for more towels, they never came. We called a second time and they never came. The room was old and looked like it hadn't seen a renovation in decades. Staff was unprofessional and rude.

Well for one the front desk clerk wasn't any help when it came to 10+ people staying outside our room talking and laughing loudly. Talking about there was nothing she can do because they just checked in, I have worked in the hospitality industry and I know for a fact no matter what if a guest has a complain against any other guest they are suppose to go and give them a warning about the complain, she did none of that, so we got a refund and left to go to another hotel where they handle situations like that. We have stayed there before and never had a problem until recently. Where people are fighting in the rooms, people are running down the hall in the middle of the night, people are blasting music at 1 or 2 in the morning. Cops has been there more then I can count due to noise disturbance and people smoking marijuana in the rooms and people has complained about it due to people bringing their kids into this hotel. One time my mother and I was leaving to go get something to eat and the whole hotel smelt like marijuana. When we come back from getting some food the police was there with the k-9 unit using the dog to sniff out where the smell was coming from the smell was so strong that they could not pin point where the smell was coming from like almost everybody there was smoking away in their rooms. Then when you book online for a room you have a front desk clerk telling you that they were fully booked the other day and that they didn't have any rooms available and that the housekeeper didn't come in until 9am and that was the time we showed up to check into our room, but she said would have to wait until 11:30 or 12. So we cancel that reservation and went to another hotel. As we were leaving we saw that the parking lot only like 4-6 cars. So when we got to the other hotel my mother called super 8 and act like she was someone else and the woman told her that there were a few rooms available and she didn't have to wait to get checked in! That was 20mins after we left for the other hotel. Then on top it off we have found a roach in our bathroom and when ask for another room he was trying to charge us $10 extra for that instead of giving us our money back and giving us a free night! Pretty this hotel started off good and then went down quickly.

This hotel has bed bugs and has a registered sex offender at the front desk! There are kids in there all the time and this lady Amber has not 1 but 6 counts of sexual child abuse! The general manager sarah knows about this yet nothing has been done. If something is not done and amber is not fired i will go to social media, reviews and anything i need to see her away from those kids. It is summer time and that hotel has the only pool in town!

I stay at the super 8 in Anaheim California can off Disneyland Dr all the time and they don't egknologe that I'm a platinum rewards member nor do they really care this place is money Hungary and the staff do very minimal to help guests their customer service skills are poor as hell and they give no reconization of any type of membership quality's I've even been called a drug addict by one of the employees but have not seen him here sense I turned him in I ask for a late check out imintitled to up to a 2 he late check out they only give a 30 min late check-out that's wrong I feel I deserve to be compensated for such bad thing sense I come here all the time
hotel complaint
June 1-3, 2018. We stayed two nights at the Super 8 East location in Madison, WI and I would not recommend any stay at this hotel. The first night there we were going to swim in the outside pool and before we got to the elevator my son noticed that the water was not clean through the window. When I looked the water was a nasty color and had a film over the top and leaves and dirt in it. The outside doors with key card entry did not work from the outside. Out of 6 people that I came in contact with all but one were unfriendly. They were short with their answers and some would not look at me when I was talking to them. The beds were so hard that all four of us woke up with severe back pains. There wasn't any hot water, it was barely luke warm. The microwave in our room did not work, I had some left over rice in for 5 minutes and it was still ice cold from the fridge. Lastly, one of the towel racks in the bathroom fell off the wall and almost hit me in the head. When I was checking out this morning the guy at the front desk acted as if he did not care what was going on and did not offer any suggestions as how to fix the situation. I would like either a refund or some sort of compensation for the miserable stay this weekend. 1st, reservations through expedia and hotel cancellation charges
NEVER make reservations through Expedia. First time was with me directly and it took a major hassle to get a reservation canceled. I said right then I would never deal with them again. My wife is making changes during a trip and (even though I plainly suggested that she not use Expedia and the reason why) she call Expedia to make reservations instead of the hotel directly. Then she had to cancel. Problem #1) unable to understand/communicate with hotel person (Morton Grove, IL - heavy foreign accent) so (she is busy at a graduation) called me to assist. I too (even having a great deal of experience with foreign accents) had trouble communicating and was told to call Expedia. Similar accent at Expedia but much easier to communicate. Problem #2) hotel insist that reservation could not be canceled (at 11 o'clock same day - well before check-in time) without a charge for that day. Told Expedia rep that I would NOT pay for something that I (wife) was not using/going to use. After 15 minutes on line (3 phone calls) and much threatening to expose my discontent with that policy (on all social and corporate media) they relented and did not charge for canceling the reservation. However, still not happy, I followed up with a call to Super 8 reservations (mistake) that went no where except to call another number which only put me on hold and led to nothing. What is the world coming to.
Bottom line - never use Expedia for ANYTHING. Call the hotel or airline directly or their official direct website. Save yourself a great deal of completely unnecessary consternation and time by bypassing third parties. Ask of there is a cancellation policy I should be aware of so, if necessary, I can go somewhere that does not penalize potential clients for attempting to use their business.
poorly kept parking lot
On 5/27/18 I fell into a pot hole in the parking lot. Both lots are in very poor condition. I hurt my right arm and knee. I went back to my room and tried to rest and apply ice. After a few hours it only got much more painful and was told to seek medical care.
I broke my right arm/shoulder and scuffed my knee. They referred me to an orthopedic specialist which i saw on 5/29/18 when i returned home. It was confirmed as a Humerus fracture.
I am currently off work and have a follow up xray on June 11th. I'm told i may take 6-8 weeks to heal with no further complications. I feel i was treated rudely by the staff, stating it's not their fault or responsibility.
bed bugs and procedure to move us.
We stayed at the Super 8 in Keokuk Iowa May25th—27th. Have stayed there many many times. Always had a very nice stay. This time I got bit by some sort of bug ( not visible) assuming bed bugs. The bites are on my face and wrists. Nothing on my body. So I assume they were in the pillow. Not wanting to alarm the entire facility I spoke with housekeeping when they stopped that morning. They said they would change everything in the room, meaning all sheets etc. Ok.. that was fine. When we returned later that day the manager informed us that they had moved us to a different room. Ok so I said we would go move our stuff. He informed me that they had already done that! So they had taken it upon themselves, without our permission, to move all of our belongings.. Fortunately it all worked out but I wasn't happy that they had done that.
When I asked if there would be any compensation for this he wrote on a business card that I would get 20% off my next stay! Assuming I would be back!
He said he could not do more because I had booked through Expedia! I was shocked !
I will be contacting Expedia as well to find out if this is true.

Myself - Thereza & my husband- Steven stayed at the super 8 motel in Hinton, Alberta on May.24/18. We woke up on the morning of May.25/18 to no hot water. Then on the morning of May.25/18 and May.26/18 my husband discovered bites which we investigated to be bedbugs which was from the super 8 motel in Hinton Alberta. We are completely unsatisfied & disgusted with our stay. Would like some kind of reimbursement and I will not be staying in any super 8 motel again! Also I will be letting all my family & friends know not to stay at the Hinton Alberta super 8 motel. Please contact asap!
front desk management and owner
I live in springlake, nc. The super 8 is in this city. The new owner and manager that took over a month ago is the problem. My daughter is employed there and had been for 2 years. And the new owner took over and has changed everyone s pay to minimum wage without discussing it with anyone. And he doesn't allow breaks at all. Pay day is a run around the owner doesn't pay until he wants is what he said. On payday he yelled at me and said that he will pay my daughter when he wanted to and that he didnt care if she got paid. She also has epilepsy and the manager didnt believe her so we brought a note from the doctor and he still didnt believe it. And when the owner did show up for paychecks he told me I wasn't allowed to be on the property or talk to the manager cause I didnt work there
waiting more than 10 days for refund
Still awaiting our refund, for a one night stay, I n which we never stayed due to the fact the room was nasty! We paid for the Room, they gave a room number, we arrived at the room, opened the door, and then opened the window.. Bugs, dust cobwebs, I went no further, went to the front desk and asked for my money to be returned, I was told they would do so right away... so 12 days later still waiting.. Never, never will we stay there again! I am also putting this complaint onto BBB.

This is with regard to my booking confirmation for three night stay at Super 8 Wyndham, Plano and booking confirmation [protected].
I was offered Room No. 209 to check in. On the way while checking into the hotel room, the passage space was filled with smell of cigarette. I was shocked while I entered the room. I started to choke and decided to cancel the reservation. I was offered another room downstairs and even then I started to choke near the passage area of the hotel. The hotel is poorly maintained and has a bad smell all over the hotel ( be it 1st floor, 2nd floor or 3rd floor). The Management Team from Super 8 shall have to take action against the franchise.
Moreover, the reservation in-charge had no sense of decency. He had asked if I was coming with my wife or girl friend and made an indecent analogy with buying a car on lease or financial. I had never expected such filthy service from the Staff of Super 8 although I have resided in a number of Super 8 hotels in Canada.
In anyway, I wouldn't be able to stay in a hotel with improper customer service and smell of cigarette all over hotel. I kindly request if you could please cancel the reservation and provide for refund of the money completely.

I stayed at super 8 hotel in Baton Rouge Louisiana this past Monday 5/14/18, I checked in at 8:58pm I paid cash, I checked out at approx 1:53am. I woke up around 1 an and immediately noticed bug bites all over my upper body and arms, face, and hands. I immediately showered, then got dressed, then left. My sister stayed at the super 8 in Rolla, Mo. on 5/12/18. Her husband is in a wheelchair and asked for a handycap room. They were placed in a room on the 2nd floor. How can that be a handycap room? When I stayed at Super 8 in Topeka on 5/9/2018 in room 204, I was overcharged since they wanted more money for a nonsmoking room and then I was locked out of my room due to a corroded door lock that was not inspected.
I could not get into my room for over 20 minutes. Both I, the receptionist, housekeeper and later maintenance could not get the door open. Eventually, it has to be busted open so I could finally get my suitcase out of there.
Please refund my purchase including a fee for having a nonsmoking room ( not mentioned in the Wyndham reservation).

I called and was asking questions and the agent hung up on me in mid sentence, poor customer service skills. I will never ever rent a room from ever again. I feel that I did not deserve that kind of treatment, after all if it was not for customers that company/ employee would not have a job.in actuallity customers pay thier salary. They should go out of their way to make every guest experience a pleasent one.

I checked in last evening and went to work when I came back around 4am, my room key did not work and there was nobody at the front desk. Here I am at 6am still no one here and customer service couldn't help me. My husbands medicine is in the room and he needs it. I better get a refund or a free night so I am able to sleep before I have to work tomorrow. Everything is in my room and I have no way of contacting any management.
I just got hired then discriminated against for my sexual preferences and my sexual identity..
Apparently super 8 has issues with people who sexually identify as a dif gender than they were born with and as well as the sexual preferences you may have as well. I was told straight up, no sugar coating... in very plain, very hurtful words from the owner of the particular super 8 that the company does not accept me identifying as any other gender other than what I am supposed to be, and ‘men' do not dress like that.. that homos and trans are not wanted nor like by them as we ruin their business.

I stayed at the Hotel 8 in La Grande, OR. I witnessed the hotel manager degrade and embarrass a potential employee.
The potential employee brought in an application for employment with resume attached. The manager threw it back at her at said, "If you can't follow instructions, I don't want you here." She was extremely angry with this person.
She then turned to me as I was checking in, she was rude, angry and loud.
