RedTag.ca Flight change

I paid 1800$ CAD (flight only) from montreal to varadero for me, my wife, my daughter 4 years old and my infant of 1 year old. I was supose to come back the 27th of january 2024 and I got an emergency my son got sick and I had to leave the 24th today. I called them to change my flight they wanted 1000$ more to change my flight for the same flight same plane same hour on the internet was 500$. I tried to explain to them they didnt want to listen to me I spoke to Alen customer service representive he continued asking for 1000$. I asked to speak to a supervisor he told me he will call you back in 4 hours. Finaly after I got mad at him he transfered me to Joe Gupta supervisor. He didnt even let me explain my situation and he hanged up in my face. After Mr. Gupta sends me an email that I was rud and that I hanged up in his face. Unhuman and lying supervisor.

RedTag.ca Tickets

I am only writing this review as I wrote another review on another site and got a response back that made no sense and accused me of things that had nothing to do with my original complaint. This was done to discredit me and take away from the real issue at hand. I am writing reviews everywhere now because of this. The agent does not understand basic English making a conversation very difficult as I had to coach the agent on English language skills.

RedTag.ca Agent and site

Mother-in-law whom spoke with a redtag agent was boldly pressured into buying a vacation for middle of March 2023. Told better book now, or may not get a vacation. We’ve found out on our trip we literally paid 2, or even 3! Times as much as other people we met at resort did. PRESSURE PRESSURE PRESSURE BY AGENT Louise Wheeler! Stay away! I tried calling her to say, in a lack of better words? How could you? She basically said nope I didn’t? I just said lucky to get one if you don’t book it now? (That wasn’t pressure to her) so my 67 year old Mother-in-law paid over $23,000! To go to Cancun from Toronto for one week, to a very horrible looking place, horribly rude staff and food that put us all in the bathroom for a lack of better words for hours each day we ate there. STAY AWAY FROM REDTAG.CA! Places and people like this mentally and physically make me sick!

Desired outcome: Pay what 100% of others did we met!

RedTag.ca I have complaint about the EL Cozumel, which FRANCES recommended to me . Frances is red tag’s agent

When I contacted to Canada vacation (through Red tag.ca )to buy a all inclusive package not less than 5-star hotel, the agency strongly suggested the EL Cozumel hotel as a 4.5-star hotel, I purchased that package, but when I arrived to the EL Cozumel hotel, on Mar/ 2/23, the hotel wasn’t what I expected, it was lower than 2 stars, there were cockroaches in the dining area and the room, that hotel did not have any suitable conditions for staying, even the night when I arrived from the airport. I called Sara your air Canada representative in EL. Cozumel area to change my hotel to 5 star hotel and I asked for the refund of the EL Cozumel hotel payment, she couldn’t do that and I have to claim air Canada Vacations, also the hotel manager said: air Canada vacation, hasn't paid us the hotel money yet, and I have to claim to air Canada vacation to refund my money back from the EL Cozumel hotel

Hello Anthony,

Our experience was not a one day loss due to rescheduling, not even close. This is what Anthony offered to Christopher on our behalf - supposed to be Christopher's manager.

We arrived early at the airport, before we arrived we checked the airline to make sure the flight was on schedule; which it was. We proceeded to the airport; checked in with an unknown surcharge of $80 dollars for checking in our bag. We decided at this point we will continue to move forward nonetheless. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 8am. They announced at 7am a delay without explanation. The weather was fine, plus 5 degrees and the roads were clear. We traveled from Aylmer to Toronto without incident, a 2 hour drive.

After some time we experienced 3 gate changes without explanation. The cancellation was posted on the flight board at 10am. Staff were completely useless. Their ONLY response was, "check your email; and then later, "go get our luggage and go"; no talk of rescheduling. NOTHING. After they canceled the staff reluctantly informed us that the Flight Crew had TIMED OUT. Who is at fault for the Flight Crew timing out? Not the passengers, we were there and we were checked in ready to go. At NO POINT DID WE SEE A SWOOP PLANE ON THE TARMAC.

While we were waiting many other passengers began sharing their horror stories dealing with SWOOP. Groups had been there for 2,3 and 4 days, rescheling, showing up, cancelling, this is completely unacceptable. I witnessed a lady break down emotionally in tears. Exhausted and emotionally spent due to SWOOP AND REDTAG NOT taking ownership of ANYTHING. Due to gross negligence she now is unable to have a vacation; I am sure she is not alone. This also took our vacation time and money and not only that you refuse at the very least to give us a full refund; completely reciculas and unfounded. Now our money is tied up and we are asked by RETAG to bite the bullet and except only airfare cost; of which Richard; REDTAG REP did not know the amount, but did state; "it won't be very much because the majority of the cost is the resort. This was not acceptable period. Not even close. We booked ALL INCLUSIVE - FLIGHT AND ACCOMATIONS INCLUDE - THEREFORE IF ONE IS CANCELLED DUE TO AIRLINE ISSUES BOTH ARE CANCELLED AND WANT FULL REFUND.

This is not ok and someone needs to take ownership.

We save all year for this trip, we have travelled with Red Tag in the past and never had an incident; until NOW. We work hard for our money and greatly look forward to our holidays, as I am sure you do as well.

Bottom line, our trip was canceled at NO FAULT OF OUR OWN PERIOD. We will not accept anything other than A FULL REFUND FOR ALL INCLUSIVE HOLIDAY, PARKING, AND CHECKING IN OUR LUGGAGE.

WE ARE NOT LIABLE; REDTAG AND SWOOP ARE LIABLE.

I had my Redtag Christmas vacation cancelled out of Edmonton due to flight constraints. Air Canada couldn't get a flight crew together for AC 176 Leaving from Edmonton to Toronto to Cancun.
They informed us that they cancelled our whole vacation to Catalonia Playa Maroma, even if we found another flight. I provided the REDTAG reference number for Shawn and Tanya Moulun. We have not been refunded any money after 30 days and Air Canada is telling us to deal with Redtag Vacations.
We are out $4438.00 and would like to be refunded our losses. It was air canada's responsibility to schedule a crew but they asked us to submit a claim to you.
My photo's are bigger than the 5MB but the redtag reference number will work. Trip 670195 Ref # [protected]

Desired outcome: We would like a full refund for our trip that wasn't delivered to us due to flight constraints for $4438.00 CAN

RedTag.ca vacation

I booked a vacation through Redtag.ca and It was the biggest mistake ever. Clearly I choose YYZ which is the code for Toronto International airport as departure but I don't know how did that happen and found it exactly 4 hours before our flight that our departure was Ottawa. We drove 170 to 180 Km from Toronto to Ottawa at 2am to catch our flight. We were so lucky we did not get pulled over by the police and we got to to air-port less than a minute before they close the gate,I called the customer service and they were closed, I also emailed them 2 times when we got in Mexico and its been 72 hours since i sent them 2 EMAILS AND STILL NO RESPONSE

RedTag.ca Vacation Package/DO NOT BOOK

Red Tag sold us a resort that is supposed to be an exclusive section of a regular resort, but the resort is 2/3 closed due to fire. At the time of booking, the website stated all amenities were open - that we would have access to 3 pools, 6 a la cartes, 3 buffets, multiple bars. After some research after booking - due to the fire (again not mentioned anywhere on RedTag at time of booking) only 1 pool, 1 buffet, 1 a la carte was open. As soon as I came across this information, Red Tag demanded hefty change fees and stated "the closures from the fire have no effect on guest vacation." When you choose a resort because it's big and has variety - this definitely has an effect on your vacation, and based on the reviews I've seen from other guests, I would say more guests side with myself that this does in fact negatively effect one's vacation.

Desired outcome: For other travellers not to book a vacation with them

RedTag.ca Kelly Perk, travel agent provided no support

We were in Punta Cana when hurricane Fiona hit. Our flight to Ottawa was cancelled on 19th and Air Canada Vacation package rebooked us automatically with terrible longest/worst layover. We were rebooked to Montreal arriving at 1:40am and had us departing to Toronto at 6:00(ish). This meant to stay at hotel for three hour or stay at the airport with one years old and three years old. I wrote to Kelly, our not helpful agent to rebook us. She responded that it was her day off and to call toll free number anytime and responded again "sorry this has happened to you, what can I help you with". I explained that we need to fly directly from Montreal to Ottawa instead of going backwards to Toronto then to Ottawa. She never responded.

Prior to our departure to Punta Cana, I received an email from Domincian E-ticket (much like arrive canada). We were frauded at 45.00US per person plus two additional 25.00US to be registered at embassy for emergency. I wrote to Kelly to see why there is charge even for one years old and three years old. She assured that there will be no other cost. On our return day, there was additional cost for same price at 45.00US to complete the e-ticket. At that point, I asked my husband not to fill the forms out again until I contact Kelly. Again, she apologized and that she is going to get to the bottom of this and still no update. I will never ever book with Redtag ever again.

Desired outcome: I would like refund and an apology.

RedTag.ca Zero communication on delays/changes

To whom it may concern,

This was the first time we booked a vacation through red tag and have had major complaints.

1. We were to fly out on Sunday June 19. Our air Canada flight was cancelled on us and we were moved to united airlines. There was absolutely no

Communication from your end to inform us of this. Due to this, we had to miss our connecting flight in Houston and we’re out on standby.

I understand you are closed on Sunday, but it is your job to inform us if a flight is delayed or cancelled as per air Canada and united airlines. I did not receive a single email about the changes.

2. When we booked the trip, I had to Follow up many times about getting our ticket information, which you guys claim was emailed to Me but it was not. There was nothing in my junk or inbox.

This is the most unprofessional company I have booked with. We had so many issues with united airlines with delays and losing baggage that did not arrive to the destination. (An airline we did not originally book with)

The fact that there was zero communication from the redtag team to pass on the information from the flight, that was unbelievable.

Due to all the changes, we were getting pushed into paying for baggage at united airlines and our original air Canada transfer at cancun airport was no longer available since that was air Canada and not united. What was the point of us booking a package if it wasn’t really a package?

We had the worst trip of all time because of the lack of communication on the red tags team.

We understand that flight statuses aren’t in your control but you can do your job and inform passengers.

We have filed a big complaint against air Canada at this time and will be filing one towards red tag for the major inconvenience we had to deal with during our travels.

We will never be booking with red tag again and will Make sure none of our family and friends book with you.

Desired outcome: We would like to get some sort of compensation or refund due to this inconvenience and look forward to hearing from someone higher up in management.

RedTag.ca Hotel stay - refund

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! ZERO STARS.

Here is my experience (I have email proof and better business bureau complaint) :

Purchased from redtag. ca on December 24 2021 as a Christmas gift: Destination: Niagara Falls (YYZ) Departure Date: Thu. December 30, 2021 Return Date: Sun. January 2, 2022 Duration: 3 Nights Paid in full : $1259.94 CAD Cancellation Policy: - Free cancellation up until Dec 29, 2021. - Cancelling between Dec 29, 2021 and Dec 31, 2021 incurs a penalty of $267.04 CAD. Contacted red tag via phone multiple times prior to December 28 with hours of being on hold and nobody ever answering. Sent several emails beginning December 28 requesting a refund as per cancellation policy.

No response was given to date despite continuous attempts of a resolution. It has been months and no resolution all I am told is that they do not refund via email and will get back to me with a response on whether other hotel will compensate me to some of extent (I purchased from redtag. Ca and was not able to get anyone to answer any of my multiple calls requesting for cancelation) this is ridiculous and absolutely unacceptable! I just lost over $1200

RedTag.ca Flight to Europe

I booked a flight (booking number IZBIDV) before covid started in 2020. Due to government regulations, everything got canceled. I applied for a voucher and never received. I’ve been asking for a refund for over a year and no one is able to give me an answer. Reading through the complains it seems like I’m not the only one they are trying to steal money from. I have the receipt for the ticket purchase as well. You simply cannot do this to people who trust in your business

Desired outcome: I would like my money back so I can get another ticket and go see my family after 6 years of being away

RedTag.ca Price drop assurance hoax

I booked a vacation with redtag and a couple days later the price ended up decreasing. Having read that they offer price drop assurance I figured I would just call in and have the cost adjusted, well was I ever wrong. When I phoned in (I waited almost 1.5hrs) the customer service rep just rudely told me they don't offer that, despite it being easy to find online, and it was my mistake. I would highly recommend booking through another provider that gives you some type of compensation/reassurance if they choose to adjust the price

Desired outcome: Drop my price as you guys advertise.

RedTag.ca vacation to SanDiego RLV-106961

Hello,

On March 4th I booked a package through redtag.ca to San Diego including flight and hotel. On Monday March 7th at 11:08, I received a voice mail saying that the hotel we requested was not available and that we could stay at an alternative hotel which is out of the area we wanted to stay in or cancel our trip. I hadn't yet gotten back to them, and they called again, I talked to Maureen who said there was no problem if we wanted to cancel but if I could please let her know by noon the following day if possible. I told her I would talk to my friend who I was travelling with and get back to her the following morning.

That evening I talked to my friend and we decided to cancel the trip as the hotel they wanted us to stay at was too far out of town and we would go another time when we could get the hotel we had originally booked.

The next morning at 6:24 PST I phoned Redtag to let them know. I was on hold for 1 hour and 22 minutes. Finally I sent them an email saying that I wanted to cancel the trip and to please do so. They emailed me back saying that the email I sent the request to cancel from wasn't the one they had on file and that I would have to send the request to cancel from the email that they had on file. I sent a reply to their message explaining that I have 3 email accounts (one for business and 2 personal accounts) but all of my sent emails will only come from one account and asked if they could call me.

At 7:58 am PST Maureen called me and said that she would change the email address that they had on file and cancel my trip. Immediately I emailed Maureen and asked for a confirmation email that the trip was cancelled. Maureen replied saying that she was just finalizing on their end and would send me an updated trip statement. I emailed back saying I didn't want a trip update as I wanted an email confirming that my trip was cancelled. Needless, to say, that was yesterday morning and it is now 8:12 pm PST and I haven't heard back from Maureen. I did just check my mastercard statement and your company has charged $3,093.78 to my card. How dare they. I am beyond furious and I this charge must be reversed ASAP.

On a side note ,I see that this complaint forum has 18 complaints and 0 resolved. This is a poor representation of quality service.

Desired outcome: $3,3093.78 credited to my Mastercard ASAP. This is a lot of money in a time where finances are stretched. The interest I will pay on this charge, if not taken off in time, will be a fair amount,.

RedTag.ca Government provided covid bail out to air transat but we are still waiting on our refund.

After Government provided the "Bail Out" to Air Transat we completed the Refund Request form on May 12, 2021. After monthly call ups to Red Tag and to Air Transat... when they answered the phone. We are still waiting on our refund of $4,316.00.

My last phone call to Red Tag (the representative) that booked our trip in August 2019 we were advised that Red Tag would be handing our refund. We were advised that they are totally backlogged with the reimbursements. Red Tag has no idea when we can expect our refund.

We were asked to provide bank statements which we sent to Red Tag and to Air Transat. Still no refund.

I have reached out to our member of Parliament and enquired if any conditions were attached to the "Bail Out" and the timeline to refund travellers.

At this point we are so frustrated by the lack of effort on Red Tag and Air Transat. They received the billion dollar bail out. Can make interest on that money and "drag their feet" in the reimbursement process.

Shame on Red Tag and Air Transat... I will never use their services again.

Desired outcome: We want to be reimbursed our $4,316.00 now. We would love interest as well.If you are in the same position as we are... keep sending notices and do not stop until you are reimbursed.

RedTag.ca Vegas vacation cancellation due to covid

My complaint with redtag is in regards to the refusal by them to honor a credit to us as we could not make out flight. Confirmation # [protected], Departure date Fri 24th, 2021- Tue 28th. 2021, Calgary to las Vegas. We purchased the careflexplus pkg to Insure there would not be a problem if something were to come up and we would have to cancel. I contacted redtag online and requested an cancelation on the 3rd or 4th of December, I received an email from redtag stating that it could take 3 weeks to get a response back in regard's to cancelation. I Never herd anything back for over a month so we contacted them, and after 5 hours on the phone waiting we were finally told that since our flight had already happened we would not get a refund. I am furious over this as we had the careflexplus and requested cancelation within there timeframe. Seems like they just stole our money, unacceptable. I have all email correspondences saved on my phone. I would like my money back as a credit if possible.

Last 13.12.2021 i buy that women product i used only 10 days. But now it's Going damage. J can't use now. I just go in shop and i need to exchange. But shop management reply too me. They can't change it... So what i do now...?

RedTag.ca Travel insurance

I don't want to swear on the internet. Here is their customer service. I called for my trip travel insurance. First time, I wasted 5 hours and nobody answered. Second time, 2 hours waiting. One representative said she will call back after hearing my issue. No call back in 2 days. Third time, I have wait another 2 hours, and she just hang up my call after hear my issue?

RedTag.ca Cancelling tickets

The WORST company to ever book tickets through. They lack any form of professional customer service, trying to cancel flights due to a new COVID variant and you are put on hold for hours, or they do not respond to your emails. I advise you to NEVER book through this site, horrifying company. Even during a pandemic where things are ever changing they refuse to have any compassion for cancellations and administering refunds.

Can't get a call back from my agent, Silvia. I have a credit I want to use and I can't do so unless my agent assists me. I'm super frustrated. Left several emails and voicemails.
Waited almost 3 weeks for a quote which I still never got. Completely unacceptable.
