We had spent over $450 on this, I'm sorry to have to say this but, low quality budget inn. The staff were Very awkward and rather un- friendly. Someone in our "group" asked the only lady at the front desk at the time we were attempting to check out, if she was working at the front desk. Her reply, "no". Then asked her for a comment card or a place or chance to voice any feedback and she says " Nope. There's no place to do that."
"So if you're not happy about a poor experience, you all don't care to know? No one cars if we / they had a great or incomplete experience? "

That was our reply from a lady wearing a smock. It was a poor experience. I checked but the doughnuts I had found in my dressed drawer were yuck. There's only THREE drawers in these rooms. Yet, they were not checked prior to our arrival only adding to the common theme which has been observed. Bought a double room but I don't know what the other room is.
One other thing is there are no pictures online of this Super 8...it seems odd that y'all don't allow people a better view of this hotel to assist people in their final decision making of whether to stay here or not.
I AM looking for a reply and assurance that someone with an ability to see this through, for EVERYONES sake, and make sure SOMETHING positive maybe come out of this lengthy but informative review.

Horrible customer service after myself and my children were eaten up by fleas yes fleas when called to get a refund for only one of the nights was given the run around hung up on twice by who was suppose to be the manger kitty and my card was charged for the full amount and I had to wait 15 days to be refunded $80.89 this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in they need the health department to come thru and shut it down! Fleas bed bugs roaches ants spiders feces on the sheets I would of rather slept in my car.

I drove to New England last week to visit family, and on my way back I stayed in Elkhart, Indiana. After a 13 hour drive, my partner and I were given a room we booked online, and then later refused that room and kicked out of the hotel.
After checking in and after being given our key, we took our dogs for a walk. The clerk approached us in the parking lot and told us she made a mistake and we needed to rebook the room. When we went to the front desk the manager (Chirag Patel) said he did not have a record of pets being included in the reservation (we made reservations online as we have with other Super 8’s in the past). When we told him that we don't recall seeing the option to add pets online (we thought all the rooms were pet friendly rooms), he accused us of being cheats and liars. He then told us that we lied on the checkin form by marking the box that says we have no pets, but we did not complete the form (it was done by his clerk), nor were we ever asked about pets when we arrived.
We told him there was a misunderstanding either on our end when we made the reservations or on their end for not asking us about pets upon check in. He told me there was a room available, and when he saw my partner (another man) he asked if we were together. I said yes, and we agreed to pay extra for a new room. Mr. Patel then told us we could only get a room with two beds instead of one. I think he thought we would refuse but we said that would be fine. He again called us liars and said, "If you can't afford the room, don't book it in the first place!" He then told us to take our business elsewhere. After driving for 13 hours, we were exhausted and literally had no place to stay.
We have never felt such discrimination before based on our sexual orientation.
If that were not enough, we were the SECOND couple to be refused service. An African-American couple before us booked a room and were given a room that faced a parking lot full of workers who were camping in the lot under tents, with barbecues and loud music (we witnessed one man urinating right by the window). When the couple asked for another room Mr. Patel said to them that if they did not like the accommodations, they could take their business elsewhere.
I trust that this man and his hotel do NOT represent what is good about Super 8 hotels. My interest in emailing you is to simply let you know that as regular customers of your hotel chain (we travel frequently, with out pets), we will not be choosing Super 8 anymore as our hotel of choice.

Hi I went to the super8 hotel in fernie b.c my home town I went in booked a room paid for it for the next night went in to get room and was told there's a 200 deposit after I paid for it wasn't told at first so fine I went out got my visa and went into pay deposit and was told to leave they are not serving me for I have to get out and that was the manager I think that was because my wife is philipino but I would like to thank them for ruining my home town visit for this was uncalled for I paid for the fucling room and no refund nothing just get out for no reason I was going to pay deposit. but i guess fernie has become a racist town rude disrespectful and scammers 132.25 lost gone thank you

I booked a room on Booking.com. I arrived at the hotel Super 8 West in Albuquerque, NM around 4pm. The clerk told me I had no reservation. I had the confirmation number and pin. She told me I had to wait for it to go through, and come back in an hour. I returned in an hour. She said, she had nothing. I asked her, if I could get room, without the reservation? She said, she had nothing available, only check-ins. I then went on booking.com and cancelled the reservation, it told me to call the property. I was standing there and told her to cancel the reservation. She was rude, slow and unbearably non-chalant. I called the main Super 8 number. They said, they would cancel my reservation and give me a refund. I have not received a refund. The full amount 45.86 was taken from my debit card on July 5, 2016.

I booked a room at Super 8 in Manhattan, KS. For June 3 through June 10 2016. Through hotels.com.Unfortunately I didn't mak it til the 6th but understood there was no refund. It was my son and I that stayed . I was there to do hair in my hometown. I decided to just put my room DOD, The firest two mornings. The 3rd day, I went to desk and asked if someone could just change our sheets . The woman was so rude, she said, they only changed sheets on wens days and Sunday s. I said can I just have a set of sheets ..that I actually used to work at this hotel and would be more than happy to change themv. She snarled and replied, I'll have to check if u can do that . I left and when I came back, maryann, the mgr. Asked me if I was Christinashe said she was told I was complaining about the housekeeping schedule, and she told me she went and cleaned my room herself. I told her I really didn't need all that, just at least my son's bed changed . Then a woman named marty came out of back and started yelling at me and, got very out of hand .she proceeded to say do u want me to call the police !?I really was shocked and felt very victimized . Then the next morning I get a note under my door stating there was a complain that there was smoking coming from my room and if so, card (WITH MY CARD NO#on it!)would be charged!I opened the door to go to c the desk about this and the housekeeper says, oh don't worry bout it, they put them under every ones door on this floor cause someone's smoking mariquana and they wanna scare them .really?uncalled for! Then when we were getting ready to leave room for good, I let housekeeper we were running behind 5mins.. I went outside .and was talking to a client of mine . Decided I'd better go in and tell them we we're def. Out . The same lady I asked to get clean sheets for me, says, U WERE LATE GETTING OUT. I TOLD HER I WAS JUST OUTSIDE AND THOUGHT I'D JUST COME BACK IN AND TELL THEM ROON WAS VACANT . SHE WAS SO UNFRIENDLY TO ME I JUST TOLD HER, , , U HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT RUDE TO ME SINCE I GOT HERE AND I'LL NEVER STAY AT A SUPER 8 AGAIN !SHE SAYS, OK HAVE A GOOD DAY . I booked a 2 bedroom family suite with a Queen bed and bunk beds. I got a 1 bedroom suite with the bunk beds in the bedroom and the queen bed in the living room. The hotel says that is their version of a 2 bedroom because it has 2 beds. Hotels.com says the hotel says I'm in a 2 bedroom, but won't allow me to send pictures and won't book a 2 bedroom in another hotel at no extra cost to me. They hang up once I get to the supervisor. The hotel will not provide an actual 2 bedroom even though both of the front office staff told me they actually have rooms with 2 bedrooms.. real 2 bedrooms not just beds in the living room because the one actual room like that is being renovated.
awful room
Spiders coming out of the drain in the bath tub. We got a hot tub room and it was missing the intake screen which meant if you were sitting by it when on your skin was in the intake. My husband has a very large bruise on his leg now. The bed was hard as a rock also... Keep in mind we paid 150.00 for this room... Never again...
dirty room
room was filthy dirt piled up in corner in the bath room. the head board has not been dusted in i had to do that so i could sleep in bed. carpet was filthy looked like it had not been cleaned . if i was not only staying just one night i would have left but i will never go back i have stayed at this super 8 several times over the last 8 years this is the first time it has been in this condition i will never tell my friends to stay here again . the sheet on one of the beds was not clean it was used. the bed spread had big holes in it .
credit card fraud
Saturday May 9th 2015 my husband and I checked into the hotel. We were charged $466.90 including taxes which is fine. Sunday May 10th 2015 Super 8 charged our CC an additional $350 for cat in room. This is a "Pet Friendly" hotel. All over website it states $15 per pet fee! When I made the reservation they were made aware that we had a cat, when we checked in they KNEW we had a cat! We were scheduled to check out Saturday May 16 2015 due to my husband's job we had to extend another week. Thursday May 14 2015 I walked to the office to let them know we would be staying another week. Gal behind the desk then charged our CC another $466.90 on Thursday charge went through at 06:09:42 then to our bewilderment the very same day our CC was again charged $466.90 at 21:30:11! Not one of these charges have our signatures authorizing them to go through other then the first initial charge on May 9 2015. As of today's date Saturday May 16 2015 Super 8 has charged our CC a whopping $1750.70! One week of stay at your hotel and we have had paid close to 2 Grand! Who gave them the right to place all the charges on our CC? These are unauthorized CC charges, unsigned CC charges which boils down to your company committing CC fraud! I called your customer service holiness for them to tell me "someone from Corp will be in touch with you no later than May 21 2015 ... ummmmm not acceptable! Stolen funds from your company I demand to hear from Corp first thing Monday May 18 2015 morning! In the mean time I will consult attorneys.
receptionist didn't help, the bad mattress and room
Don’t stay in the hotel of the company www.super8.com. I was really disappointed in it. I stayed for 2 nights in this place and it was horrible. I asked for non-smoking room, but they provided me a smoking room. Also the room was dirty and the mattress was old and uncomfortable. I tried to change the room, but the receptionist refused. The services were also awful, so beware and better find another hotel, where to stay. Share this info.

I booked a room for 3 nights through booking.com, for the first (and last) time. Went pretty smooth. Entered my credit card, and got an email confirming the reservation. Unfortunately, I had to cancel a few hours later, a full day before the check-in time of the first day.
I noticed in the email that there was a link to "manage your reservation". I clicked on that link, and went straight to a booking.com site that had a big button "cancel your reservation". I clicked the button, and instantly got a web page that said "your reservation is cancelled". I thought that went awfully smooth. Usually it is a bit of effort to cancel something or get a refund. Well, it only took a few seconds to find out why. I got another email that confirmed the cancellation, and informed me that the cost of cancellation was the ENTIRE price of the three rooms.
Which really begs the question - why even have a procedure to cancel a reservation, if you are not going to refund 1 cent of the money? That is like a store having a refund counter to take back products, but with no plan to ever give back the money. Why would anyone take anything back? Well, I believe it is a scam. They love it when you cancel, so they can rebook the rooms and keep all your money. That is why they make it so easy to cancel, but not advertise the fact they are going to keep all your money.
Booking.com blames the hotel, the hotel blames booking.com. Typical run-around. And I am left going to my credit card company to fix this mess.I have never experienced this from any other hotel I have ever been to. They always said I could cancel, if needed, prior to the date and there would be no charge.

I am sorry to hear about this. All information on cancellation penalties can be found on the Booking.com website under the "Conditions" column of the rooms. You can hover your mouse over the question mark in order to pull up the cancellation policy, along with other useful information. Please note that the hotels also go by the date of arrival as opposed to the listed check-in time. However, despite all of this I can try contacting the hotel to see if I can convince them to waive the fees if you would provide your booking number to me.

Arrived at my room to find they charged the card used to hold it. I was assured it was credited back and they took cash. I went up to my room and checked my beds for bed bugs and didn't see any, so I put my things down and went out. I returned to my room late got dressed for bed and laid down. I woke up at 3am being bit by something. I jumped up turned on the lights and pulled off the sheets to find bed bugs crawling. I called the front desk and was told there was nothing he could do. I ask for a refund and was told no. I got my things (3:00 am) took the room key down and ask for the manager to call me when he/she arrived. No one called I called and was told we can only cancel your stay for 10/05 and put that money on your card used to hold the room. No refund for 10/04 I was without a room from 3:00am until 12:00 saturday when I was able to check in another motel. I will never stay at a motel 8 no matter the location and if I was the franchise I would pull my name from this location.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times and have never had problem. This time on the morning of the second day, the morning of checkout, we noticed an infestation of ants. They were crawling on my soft drink can that i had been drinking from all night and my wife had bites on her neck. The owner would only give me 30% off for one night, we stayed two, and absolutely refused to do anything else. I contacted Super 8 Worldwide customer care and was informed that the hotels are independently owned and they refused to do anything to help me. I think this is pretty poor for their name to be on it but not held responsible for the hotel. I have pictures of the ants and the bites on my wife so my next stop is the newspaper.
