Santander Consumer USA - Unethical behaviour

Approximately june 4th, 2020, I rec'd a text msg. From santander inquiring if I had authorized a purchase in the amount of $86.39 from norton. (press 1 for yes press 2 for no) I replied pressing 2 for no. A representative called me to inform a block would be put on my card and a new card would be issued... And rec.'d within 7/10 days. I waited 12 days (twelve) and no card rec'd. This was a great inconvenience to me because I don't carry cash... I use my card for everything. I come out of my self quarantine, to travel on public transportation to the santander bank at 5601 n. Broad st. In phila., pa. (by now is approximately june 16th or so) I spoke with a "brett a. Jenkins". I explained the situation, letting him know that norton anti virus is my protection for my computer on-line, and is an automatic yearly renewal, however, my subscription with norton is only $49.99 for a year... Not $86.39. Therefore norton was not authorized to take that much out of my account. Mr. Jenkins reviewed my account and told me that my card was "on hold". (me waiting those 12 days for a new card to arrive was in vain) so as a courtesy to me, he released the hold, so I could make purchases and told me to contact norton to not renew my subscription. I tried contacting norton a few times to no avail, but since I was receiving notices from them to update my debit card so they could receive payment, I presumed they would wait until I did. Howver, before I could talk to norton, they again tapped my accout for the $86.39... So I rec'd another text from santander (on the 21st) asking if it was authorized. I replied no again, and presumed my card would be put on hold again. In the meantime, I did talk to norton and they cancelled my automatic renewal and sent me confirmation of same. I then calld santander, to ask that the hold/block on my card be released. The rep. (young lady) informed me that she could not do that but would send a new card. I protested because now I have to wait for days again to shop... But there was nothing more she could do and said a new card is on the way. Mind you, while all of the delays, other valid creditors have either terminated services, like my land line and my cable tv, or attached extra payments to my bill for my "e-check" payment being returned as unpaid, like my consumer cellular phone service. I for the life of me don't understand why santander bank would not pay these valid charges. Santander must know they are authorized or they would have texted me to inquire if the charges were authorized like they did with norton. Yesterday (june 25th) I decided to go to santander bank at the cedar brook mall, 531 south easton rd in wyncote, to request a claim form or a re-imbursement form for said charges. I didn't get his name but I was serviced by a young black guy. I explained the entire case to him and told him a new card was on the way per the last young lady I spoke to over the phone. He reviewed my account... Told me no new card was issued but he would put the request in for a new card. (are you freakin' kidding me?!) now i'm beyond livid. I now want a complaint form. He's telling me there is no such thing. I then requested the name of the regional director/ceo of santander bank. He gets another man, I guess the big shot manager... Tall fat black guy... I didn't get his name either thru all the arguing. This guy was the worst. I told him I want a complaint form. He tells me that he is the complaint form and there is nothing they can do for me. I asked him for the name of the ceo again. The first young man, still sitting there, goes in his drawer to pull out a card, the big mahaffa guy tells him no, don't give her anything, and tells me to "get out". I told him I was not leaving until I got a complaint form or the name of the ceo. He proceeds to call the police on me. I still refused to leave. The police come and assess the situation. The police ask him why not just give her the info she's requesting. Finally... The big mahaffa gives me a deposit slip with the bank phone # on it and gives me the name of his supv/boss... A "david thompson"... And tells me I can call the number on the deposit slip. This experience, during these times, has been the worst experience in mylife dealing with an institution like santander bank. I truly hope that, at the very least, after nearly a month, a new card is in the mail so I can finally pay my overdue bills and get on with life as I know it.

If I could give Santander a -10 as a rating I would. They have been the worst company I have ever dealt with. They prey on the vulnerable. If you are reading this and everyone else's comments listen to them. These people are absolutely the worst that I have come across!
