Physician sent by fax an order for albuterol after a covid diagnosis 1/10/22.. Two days later, no call from pharmacy regarding same.
1/12/22 9:34am phoned to check on this med to the pharmacy location we always use and physician sent order to-disconnected. (Dix-Emmons, Lincoln Park, MI 48146)
9:50am. Waited on hold thru phone cues, asked to speak with pharmacist again. Call answered after about 10 minutes, asked patient name, date of birth. Was told prescription order had never been received.
Phoned MD, who checked the order, said it was sent but would resend.
10:29 Called pharmacy phone # 313 383 6776, waited through phone queue again, and someone picked up, said "this store is closed", I stated I spoke with someone a few minutes ago, man said "I don't know lady" and hung up.
I phoned CVS store at Fort Street and Champaign, L.P. MI 48146 to see if that rx had been sent or could be seen by them to fill. They could not locate order in system. Phoned MD to re-order to Fort Street store-who also verified that Emmons-Dix pharmacy has closed.
1st complaint, this is an established pharmacy customer, why are no notifications being sent to established patients?
2nd complaint, why does phone system at the store that is closed or has closed still have customers go through the phone queue and wait 12-20 minutes before disconnecting rather than immediately notififying customers? Should be a sImple thing to change switchboard messages to indicate closing or direct customers elsewhere.
3rd complaint, when attempting to contact CVS corporate offices no operator is available to direct a call and why does the 800 746 7287 come up as MoneyGram when dialed?
I am a grandmother dealing with 3 positive covid cases, my calls to CVS began at 9:34 am and I phoned again 10:17, 10:29 when I was disconnected,
called 401 765 1500 at 10:49 which directs me only if I know the name of the person I'm trying to reach, and 1 800 746 7287 which lists on my cellphone as MoneyGram? and finally called a CVS Caremark # where the customer service rep placed me on hold for someone that should be able to help me.
It is now 11:48am and I'm still on hold, no prescription, no answers.
I will not be using CVS in future and wonder how many other customers get
'CARE' like this. Doesn't make me wonder why some CVS stores are closing.
and has taken me away from actually caring for family members and household issues for over 2 hours. Disgraceful way to run a biz.
Desired outcome: Change the phone answering message system when a store or pharmacy division in it has closed and nofity long time customers of same.
