12/10/2021 I picked up my schedule 2 Hydrocodone medication, which was on file (previously called in by Dr office) I called the night before to request it be filled next morning. (Online it continued to say pending so I drove into town, I live 50 miles from Walgreens that I currently use) and at 1pm I walked in to pick up. It was still in limbo because the technician knew where it was but it needed pharmacist to look at it? I checked out receipt states 102pm. When I returned home, my husband pulled the bag out of my ourse, still stapled closed, to put them in my pill planner. He immediately said something was wrong. The medium bottle should have been full to the top and it wasn't. He and then I counted and there's 38 pills missing. I immediately called the pharmacy. A young lady that usually waits on me answered, I explained the situation, she put me on hold. She came back after a couple minutes stating they're reviewing the video but she spoke to the guy that counted them and he said it was probably a miscount, and they'd get it figured out. Then after 2 more minutes the pharmacist got on the call and said he counted and his count was good so they're going to look at the video and call me back. I immediately called my Dr office. They said they were going to call and check out what was going on. They called me back, said the pharmacist was not going to admit a mistake and told me to not use that pharmacy anymore and they would call in a bridge narcotic so that the 5 days of meds missing would be able to be filled for me. They said they stand behind me and judging from the attitude of the pharmacy that something didn't feel right. The pharmacy has still not returned my call after "reviewing the video". I pay full price less a discount card so I am out money and medication that magically disappeared. Also I noticed that the receipt was 1:02pm and my meds weren't ready yet the printout attached says filled at 10:00am. My sister works in law enforcement and said I will need to let them know I want to review the video, from that at least 930am through the time I called because either the 38 pills went into the wrong bottle or there was theft (a) from my bottle (b) after checkout but before I notified them 38 pills of a schedule 2 drug is dangerous and I have to file a report. I am so disgusted by the lack of caring and trying to resolve or even admit possible mistakes. Something happened and it's dangerous to blow it off like they are God like and we're all just hysterical patients. I want to see this rectified, and I want either my 38 pills or a refund.
