For 8 years, I had been a Walgreen’s customer, the Walgreens Pharmacy at 50 White Oak Road, Fredericksburg, VA, 22405. For the past few years, all the staff (Pharmacist, Technicians, Manager, and, now, the District Manager, Larry Stevens who ignored my calls on July 15, 2024). I was not able to leave him a message because his messages are “full”. Previously, whenever I needed help, I contacted Mr. Stevens; he even told me to do that whenever I first started having trouble with the staff at this pharmacy. He always seemed a little overwhelmed when I needed his help, but he was friendly enough. However, when I called on Monday, July, 15th, he did not answer and I was unable to leave a message because his voicemail is “full”. That’s an example of my feeling he’s a bit overwhelmed. He is also not objective; and, I shared that thought with him a few times as well. He does not supervise anyone at that pharmacy. They supervise HIM. It is so obvious. Each time I needed to speak to Mr. Stevens, I let him know there is NOTHING “easy” or “trustworthy” at the pharmacy on White Oak Rd. Mr. Stevens intentionally ignored my calls. I even texted. No response. If I receive a letter from Walgreens saying they won’t fill my prescriptions again, I will walk it back to that pharmacist! HE treated me inhumanely! AWFUL! He liked making my life h*ll. Mr. Stevens allowed this pharmacist to do whatever he wanted to me. Mr. Stevens is not objective. I even told him that. So, who supervises of the main pharmacist at White Oak? It’s not Mr. Stevens; it is the other-way-around. Their treatment of me caused me to cry uncontrollably every month when I tried to refill my medications, mental health meds! Once, I was crying and the tech hung up on me and did not answer when I called back. The main/top pharmacist has made my life COMPLETELY miserable for months! They violated my civil rights and violated my HIPPA rights.

Recently, this pharmacist refused to fill three of my necessary prescriptions, which were on-time and covered by my insurance. He told my boyfriend, Mike Clark, who has been picking up my medication for 8 years, that he would never fill my prescriptions again, claiming he informed me of this last month. However, he never told me directly. This public declaration is a HIPAA violation, as it was made in front of other customers and staff, causing me humiliation. That happened twice.

I have been using this pharmacy for 8 years, but the service has deteriorated. This pharmacist seems to need to control everything and is inflexible, causing me stress by refusing to fill medications crucial for my mental health and instructing my boyfriend to go elsewhere. Walgreens is supposed to be easy and trustworthy, but this pharmacist's actions have been neither.

I had to track down my doctor to transfer my prescriptions, which was not easy, because the pharmacist said only my doctor could do it. This added to my distress and disrupted my care. The techs who hung up on me violated my civil rights, and the pharmacist's behavior is dictatorial and dehumanizing.

I have contacted the district manager, Larry Stevens, multiple times. He has helped me when I contacted him twice previously, but he ignored my latest calls and texts, which is unacceptable. I shouldn't have needed to contact him in the first place. Last month, when similar issues arose, he never informed me that I could no longer get my medications from this Walgreens. I want an explanation for that.

I admit that once, while speaking to the store manager, I used a swear word, for which I apologized. I was literally melting down because getting my prescriptions filled every month has always been exhausting

Please have an exec from Ms. Bowser’s office contact me. There is always two sides to every story. I will tell mine here (please respond) and a lot of other places. I need the pharmacist’s name.

Claimed loss: No money - just pure agony
