Walgreens Retail pharmacy services, or lack of...

Absolutely awful wait times, customer queues & service. Store #04730 - Mill Creek, WA. averages 15 minutes per car in the drive through - usually 4-5 car waiting at any given time so you do the math. The average wait time @ the pharmacy counter is 45 minutes to 1 hour. Upon calling the pharmacy, I have sat on "hold" over an 1.5 hours only to have the call dropped and having to start again.

I have experienced E-Script prescriptions getting lost, errors in dosages, order completion, failure to accurately transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies (that would require you answer the phone - which seems to be a challenge for most store locations) and everything in between.

It is always blamed on staffing shortages, pandemic, excessive demand - you pick the excuse. Drug inventory shortages are becoming more prevalent due to management metrics on inventory stocking levels & associated carrying costs. The result is multiple trips to obtain a complete prescription fill.

Management is aware of these issues but unable or unwilling to do anything about it as it is easier to push the inconvenience down onto the customer.

Customers vote with their $'s and feet so do yourself a favor (unless you like the abuse) and DO NOT do business with this location or Walgreens as a company, they are absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever had the misfortune to deal with!

Desired outcome: Customer boycott & business failure seems to be the evident remedy.

Walgreens store 4293 pharmacy not open at 0900

I scheduled a Flu vaccine for 23 SEPT at 0930. I arrived to the Desoto store and the pharmacy was closed with no signage. I asked an employee in the store if the Pharmacy would be open. He indicated that the Pharmacist stated he was running late and would be in soon. My appointment was at 0930. No one was there at 0920. I took a video. This is not running late. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and not good business practice for someone serving clients with medical conditions or needs. From the way the employee responded, this was not the first time this has happened and probably will not be the last as this is in a majority Black community. This message to this community is that you are not deserving of professional health business practices. You are not respected and or valued. This is demeaning and unacceptable. I called a friend who stated this has happened to him at this store which confirmed my instincts. This is not normally where I would go for any services. I can only imagine someone with less means and options than I. I go to the Northside of Dallas as I know those majority white clients receive better service. Today, this proved to be true. Those clients who arranged a ride or left work to get there encountered a closed pharmacy with no signage. I pray that no one with a real medical condition did not show up to a closed pharmacy. This is so wrong in so many ways. This does not support the mission of "champion the health and well-being of communities across America" far from it. Walgreens Pharmacy

I arrived at Walgreens in Lincoln Park, michigan.48146. On sept.19,2022 around 4:30 pm. I went to pharmacy Dept. No pharmacist on duty. No one to fill prescriptions. Yous need to inform the general manager of this store, you need to have a pharaonic duty 24 hours a day to serve the public. It’s needed here at this store. Their is no excuse for no pharmacists on duty.?

Desired outcome: Have more pharmacists on duty at all times.

Walgreens Problems regarding store manager at store #07531 located at 2203 Texas Pkwy, Missouri City, TX 77489

I have been a 15+ years customer of Walgreens as they provide me with all of my medications. I also shop online using the Weekly Ads, which are not very truthful when you purchase certain items as stated, then you do not get that order correct. That has happened to me on two occasions, within the past three weeks, and the last one on 9/18/2022.

On 9/18/2022, I used the Weekly Ad and purchased many items totaling $34.06, and they took $1.00 off for the store card. Now, my refund is $33.06. THAT IS VERY, VERY WRONG. The Auth Code for this is 198352. Upon the delivery of the items the same day, I received incorrect items and an item that I did not order as I requested NO SUBSTITUTIONS. I was upset and called the store to speak to the manager for that day. His name is Chris, no last name was given. He informed me that I should return all items I received for full credit to my card ending in 7667.

MY DESIRED OUTCOME WOULD BE THAT Emilio should take behavioral and stress management classes. He should not directly deal with customers at this time due to his inability to work with customers. He should be placed on probation. WE ALL HAVE A JOB TO DO AND SHOULD DO IT TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITIES.

I SINCERELY HOPE WALGREENS WILL GET BACK TO ME SHORTLY, AS I NEED MY MONEY BACK ON MY CARD ENDING IN 7667. I HAVE USES FOR THAT MONEY. THANK YOU.

I was ill on 9/19/22 and had to go to the ER, I have proof of that. So, I asked my husband Joseph to take all the items to the store for full credit. He had to show an ID at that time. He was then told that Walgreens could not process a refund back to my original method of payment, a card ending in 7667.

They issued a store credit, WHICH I DO NOT NEED OR WANT, AS I NEED MY REFUND BACK TO THE ORIGINAL METHOD OF PAYMENT, SO I CAN USE AS I WANT ANd NOT BE FORCED TO USE A STORE CARD. THE CARD SCANNING NUMBER IS [protected]. ANOTHER CARD NUMBER, I BELIEVE, WHICH SHOWS ON THE CARD IS [protected]-32324. I USE MY DEBIT CARDS ONLY WHEN I WANT TO USE THEM AT WALGREENS AND NO OTHER CARD.

I then called the store manager, Emilio, after I returned home from the ER. He was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and did not understand what I was trying to discuss with him. He hung up the phone on me, and I called back TWO MORE TIMES, JUST TRYING TO GET HIS ATTENTION, and he kept hanging up on me. I called back one last time and talked with an employee, Wendy. I do not know her status at Walgreens, but she was deeply sorry about the bad treatment I received from Emilio for no apparent reason and requested if there was anything else that she could assist me with. I told her 'no' and 'thank you.'

Desired outcome: I AM LOOKING TO HEARING FROM YOU SHORTLY. THANK YOU.

MY DESIRED OUTCOME WOULD BE THAT Emilio, the store manager at store #07531, should take behavioral and stress management classes to deal with customers. He should not directly deal with customers at this time due to his inability to work with customers. He should be placed on probation. Walgreens Pharmacy

When attempting to pick up medication after being notified via automated message 9/19/22 of medicine being available for pickup after 3 pm; I attempted to pick up said medication 9/20/22 at 10:30 am. I was informed via pharmacy tech the medication would be available following 20 minutes. After informing the pharmacy tech of the automated message she stated “I don’t know what to tell you, it is going to be 20 more minutes.” This is not the first time I have had problems with this Walgreens in Purcell, Ok. They are extremely slow when there is only one customer in line. They do not acknowledge the wait time of having customers wait even after false advertisement of stated time via automated phone message. I will be taking my business elsewhere and informing others of this poor customer service given.

Walgreens Management

okay I have never felt the need to file a complaint and never was the one to file them, but I work for Walgreens and so does my boyfriend. and my boyfriend is never the one to say what's on his mind but i am. we work for Walgreens in Delaware. I work on the one on DuPont parkway and he works for main street in Middletown with a store manager named jess. i hate the way jess treats him he wants to transfer to my Walgreens since i am a pharm teach and he is a CSA, but I have heard from so many people that jess will not transfer him because jess wants to make his life a living hell and she is trying to do everything in her power to make him quit. and she's saying this to other store managers and it's so unacceptable on the way she and all the other management on main street is treating him. and from what i have heard this is not the first time she has made other people's life a living hell she has tried to make so many other people quit at her Walgreens store. she is a store manager acting like a 6-year-old girl when she is very well in her 40s. my boyfriend deacon M has always come in on very last min calls when someone else has called out and no one else will come in he is there. he would always have to cancel plans to come in because other people would call out. he is one of the better workers but is getting treated like [censored] every day he is there. and they have cut down his hours from 6 days a week to barely even 1 day a week. they treat him so unfairly. and I understand that's the real-world blah blah blah but when you tell other store managers that you are purposely doing this [censored] just to make him quit is so outrageous.

Desired outcome: I would like jess to go through with his transfer instead of holding him back and I need someone to talk to her about her behavior a if I need to be reached out to my email address is [protected]@gmail.com

Walgreens Safety issue: Solicitation for money at doorway to store.

9/19/22

Walgreens Store, 4400 S. Claiborne, New Orleans, La.

approx. 5:20 p.m.

While entering store there were two individuals at entrance doors. A female was sitting right near the doors and a male was standing up by them. Male individual was asking people for money as they were entering. The male did not like the answer of no as a response to request, and commented about it.

This situation of allowing strangers on the property soliciting for money is not conducive for feeling safe while shopping at this location.

Desired outcome: Alert associates as to rules and law of not allowing persons to remain on property soliciting for money.

Walgreens Pharmacy

The Walgreens pharmacy at 9 mile and Lahser in Southfield MI is the worst one I’ve had to deal with. After 12 years of them never getting anything right for medication’s I take every month, I’ve had enough. The pharmacy is rude and everyone and I do mean everyone in line is complaining about the same thing. They never answer the phone either.

Walgreens Service and manager attitude

I have been a loyal Wallgreens customer at the Bridgehampton store. This store has a nasty and disrespectful manager. Due to a labor shortage, he has been stocking shelves. A week ago, he was stocking shelves and I asked him if they had a certain product. He response was "If you can't find it, we don't have it". A couple of days ago, he was stocking product in the Tylenol isle. I was able to see a small bottle of what I was looking for but I asked him if there was a larger bottle. He was literally three feet from me. He said "To your right... farther to your right". I said I did not bring my glasses. His reply was "Since you found the small bottle, I thought you could find the big bottle". I said, can you help me. He took two steps and grabbed the bottle. I felt like he was mocking me. Last week, a couple brought in some items to ship. This Walgreens does not go the digital route. He told the customer where they should go to get them shipped. When they left, he complained to me about the tourists and second home owners in the area. This manager is a very unhelpful and unwelcoming member of your staff.

Desired outcome: I never want to be part of a person losing their job but this employee needs a strong reprimand from his superior and perhaps some customer service training. He is the face of your store.... Not a very good face.

Walgreens Pharmacy - extremely poor customer service

This incident occurred on 09/19/2022 at 11:37 a.m. I had sent my son to pharmacy to pick up Tramadol for me they told me it would be 1.5 hour to be filled. I broke my ankle and wrist and had been 24 hours without any pain relief and had not slept all night because of it. I called after 2 hours had passed and they said it was insurance holding up the prescription so I said I would pay cash. She then told me she would have it ready in 3 hours after I had already been told an hour and a half. I tried to explain to her that I was already told 1.5 hours and it still wasnt ready and i am paying cash so why would it be 3 more hours. She did not let me finish my question before she interrupted me and kept talking over me. I asked her if i could speak without interruption and she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to the pharmacist directly and the pharmacist said she would expedite my order. The pharmacist also asked her why she hung up on me and she said she put me on hold but that is not what happened.

I literally heard the phone being slammed down. I have never been so mistreated by any pharmacy in my life. as a consequence, I can no longer use Walgreens and I am going to post my experience on all social media platforms. When someone is sick or in pain, they do not need to be made upset and be hung up on.

Desired outcome: 1. Awareness of the mistreatment- store/ pharmacy manger to contact me2. I think maybe your employees need to take a sensitivity class or some type of class regarding treating human beings like human beings.

Walgreens Discrimination

I have shopped at Walgreens for 40 years but are employees allowed to wear Gay pride buttons, belts, masks and accessories because they seem to discriminate if you are not this trending popular way (leave these items to wear on your time perhaps as we are here to buy products not interested in your sexual orientation) in my circumstance I feel being a man and the girl said she was too busy always never seems to want to help me but had no customer at her counter I had to convince her it was taking too long at the front counter for some reason another time Mark asked me why do I come in here to Walgreen every night? Customer service today is terrible!

I am not against this but do not to make people believe Walgreens is promoting this personal lifestyle

Walgreens customer service employee

On September 14, 2022 I walked into the Pacifica Walgreens store #11261 to return an item I had previously purchased Shea/Moisture/HBSCs CSTRC/GL12Z. I informed the cashier the purchase was made more than 30 days prior and joked it had been riding around in my car. I asked if she would look it up by my rewards account. The cashier referred me to the woman in the photo department. I gave her the same explanation I had given the cashier she informed me she could not find the purchase and told me I hadn't purchased the item and could not return it in a loud voice with an accusatory manner. I felt extremely embarrassed as well as determined to locate my purchase. I walked to my car and called the [protected] number at about 4:27 PM to find out how to retrieve my information. This call took about 11 minutes to complete the customer service operator was very helpful. I proceeded to find the purchase it took about 2 minutes to locate. I found my purchase it was dated August 11th at 5:34pm Traction ID5870. I walked into the store and proceeded to show the cashier as well as the women from the photo area because they were both standing at the register. The woman from the photo booth said "is it an online purchase" I said. " no" "as I said I purchased it from this store." The woman from the photo booth looked at me and walked to the back. The cashier told me several time that the woman from the photo department would be there to assist me because she was the one that needed to sign off on my refund. The woman from the photo department was not assisting any customers at the time. She finally returned to the check stand to ask me for my ID and asked me no less than 4 time for my phone number with a condescending attitude. It took until 5:09 PM for my transaction to be completed when it should have been completed in less time than that because when i returned i was the ONLY customer there at the register at the time. After mentioning this to several of my colleagues I found out another one had been treated with the same distain as i was even after she proved she had her e=receipt for a photo pick up. This experience has left me emotionally upset as I told the manager on the next day it makes uneasy, i feel as if I do not want to shop at this Walgreens. When you enter into an establishment to purchase items you want to feel your patronage is important, I no longer feel this way. I did not know how emotionally this has affected me but being a woman of color, it's not the first time I've experienced this type of racism before I just never thought it would happen for returning an item to a neighborhood store, that in the past has been pleasant experience. What are the odds that two women of color experienced unprofessionalism form the same Walgreens employee. She needs to understand that this is not how Walgreens should be represented and may some training on how to respect customers.

Desired outcome: For this employee to reprimanded and some diversity training. I left feel hurt demeaned and ANGRY. How do you handle this type of situation? That's what I would like to know?

Walgreens Lack of support

Sir/Ma'am,

I just visited the Walgreen's in Lexington Kentucky on Dylan place. I was picking up one prescription and inquired about the status of Ozempic which is on back order. The response from the pharmacist (Monsoor), "It's on backorder and you will have to call around and find it."

This pharmacy has been my pharmacy for a number of years and do not like being told I will have to call around. Is this not the job of the pharmacist? To get the required prescription filled ON-TIME.

Desired outcome: I would like the Walgreen's on Dylan Place to find it and fill the prescription pharmacy prior to 21 September 2022.

Walgreens Customer service/pharmacy

The pharmacy in [protected]@ BLUEGROVE LANE WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE TIMELY. I had a prescription refilled & the store did not have all of the medication in stock. I was given a 14 day supply & told to re-order the medication because it had to be ordered. After ordering the prescription a second time for the balance of the medication, I received a call saying it was ready, however the price was incorrect. When I tried to call the pharmacy, the would not answer the phone. I held on for 50 plus minutes. I called the store and spoke to a asst. manager & she went to the pharmacy to tell them I was waiting on hold, only to be put on hold again. I am extremely disappointed and would like to have a call back @ [protected].

Walgreens @ Pleasant Run & BLUEGROVE will not answer their phone timely & the drive through line is always, always slow

The medications received on a monthly basis is not kept in stock causing me to make another extra trip for medication

Why are Medications that are received monthly not properly stocked to avoid extra trips to Walgreens.

Walgreens visa vanilla gift card

I purchased a Visa Vanilla gift card on08/31/2022 at 10:10 pm at store number 06564 located at 522 Torrence Avenue in Calumet City. I loaded $350 to the card and paid a fee to find out the numbers missing off of the card. I went back to the store to make the cashier that serviced me aware that the card was defective. She was very rude and said there was nothing that she could do. I didn't want a refund I just wanted to know if she could put the on a different card and I was willing to pay an additional $6.95. She stated that I needed to call the number on the back of the card because she isn't giving me no refund. I took the card and left because I have never been treated like that at any Walgreens. I contacted the number on the back of the card the next day just to find out that they are located in Southwest Asia so now I am sitting here with a that has $350 that I cannot use which is very unfair to myself because I purchased it from your store. I called the store on Torrence Avenue 09/08/22 spoke with Renee, shift lead and she stated that I would need to talk to a manager because they did receive because they defective cards and customers were complaining about not being able to use the card because it was defective, and that the manufacturer of the card has been made aware because they did receive a bad batch of cards. I just want my $350 put on a different card or refunded. I do not want a check sent in the mail because I paid cash, I will never visit that Walgreens again.

Walgreens Prescription distribution - or lack thereof.

The pharmacy department at Walgreens located at 7929 Lower Sacramento Rd, Stockton, CA 95210, is most frequently to few clerks to handle the client load. While customers shopping in the other departments are able to find their items and checkout in a timely manner, not so for patrons trying to get their medications.

It is apparent to me that the pharmacy department needs to be expanded.

Your employees are in continuous state of motion, trying their best.

Desired outcome: Expand the pharmacy department.

Walgreens Pharmacy Policy

After having my son's ADHD prescription filled at Walgreens since last January I was told yesterday 09/06/22 by the pharmacist that she would not fill it because his provider is in Sacramento. She felt that he should have a local provider that he sees in person. Upon contacting Walgreens corporate customer service their policy is that they will not fill a prescription from a provider more than 50 miles away. They have been filling his prescription since January with no problem. I am now in the lurch for the medication that he needs in order to function at school. I feel given post-COVID this is an outdated policy and secondly the seemingly arbitrary way in which it was enforced is not good customer service or patient care. If that is their policy then it should be enforced 100% of the time not when an individual pharmacist has feelings about how our family should seek and receive mental health services and care.

Desired outcome: Change in policy (which I doubt will happen), and apology from Walgreens for leaving my family and I in a bad place. Corrective action would involve re-training for all stores regarding enforcement of policy 100% of the time.

Walgreens Not able to reach a person at three different stores by phone

I have called the renton rainier location, tukwila, and the genesee location and each time the phones are busy? I am trying to update my phone number with you all so I can get the text messages regarding my medications.?

Today september 6th @ noon

What kind of compliant form is this? If your message isn't long enough it won't generate attention wtf? Walgreens been whack anyway with the extra high prices before the national health crisis for years to be exact. One goes to walgreens if they have a sell, other that they get pasted on by.

Fix your phones at all the three locations is the point!
