Walgreens Behavior of walgreens pharmacist

I am a recovering addict of pain pills. I became addicted to them after an issue with back pain and when the refills ran out I began purchasing them illegally. I got tired of hiding from everyone what was happening and got help from an onlne program using suboxone. No one knows that I am taking this medication and I prefer to keep it that way. Not even my husband knows. I filled my prescription at the walgreens down the road from my house. After my session with my online provider, she sent in my refill. When I called to find out when my prescription would be ready because I pick it up when I am not with my husband, the pharmacist told me I still had 3 days before I she could fill it. I would not have any for today the 10th of October. She told me to call back on Sunday, yesterday. I didn't call back because I was with my husband and I explained that he doesn't know I am taking this medication. I asked my provider to call, and she did. The pharmacist told her she wouldn't fill it until yesterday. Well today, I called and I was told that the "pharmacist is still reviewing it and that it would be a few hours". I was supposed to take this medication at 9am this morning. I find it absurd that a pharmacist can hold a medication that has been legally prescribed and that I need. How unprofessional! How unethical and just downright wrong! This pharmacist is located at 16900 E Colonial DrOrlandoFL32820. I would like this addressed and I will be looking into how I can complain against the medical board as well.

Desired outcome: I want this addressed.

Walgreens I'm complaining about the treatment of Yvette in my last visit to Alburquerque Pharmacy.

Yvette was very arrogant and disrespectful with me and my wife. I'm a loyal client of Walgreens for more than 30 years and i never i had happened to me. When i called Yvette she ignore me and immediately she insulted me and my wife. You don't need employees like this lady. Please let me know if you need more information about this sad situation. Thank You for your consideration.

Walgreens Mary - cashier manager out-of-control behavior

At about 5:47 pm (PST) on 10/05/22, I as a customer had the great misfortune of encountering Mary (alleged manager for cashiers) at the Walgreens (#10948) at 33060 Antelope Rd., Murrieta, CA 92563.

I was there for over 20 minutes prior. The chain of events: I returned 3 "large" hair clips with receipt ($4.99, $5.79, $4.99) as they were not "large" and would not hold my hair. I was also there to purchase two boxes of hair color (2 @ $11.99 each).

A man was at the register. He could not get the system to recognize the SKU number on the package despite I clearly had the receipt from the day prior. He called his "manager" Mary over. Mary was very unpleasant - to such an extent, that even an employee apologized the next day for what I was subjected to by Mary and her inexperience and irritation, and my great wait time. I appreciated the support and recognition the next day as the first encounter with Mary was not professional. Nevertheless, I waited for almost 20 minutes while she fumbled in frustration and irritation. The end result on 10/5/22 was that I paid for my hair color at $23.98 and received my refund for which she collected my receipt.

On that day when I arrived home, I noticed that Mary did not give me my $5 discount which was on the signs if I bought 2 boxes of hair color! I saved my receipt and put the color back in the bag.

On 10/6/22 @ 5:41 pm (PST) - 1 day after, I purchased 2 products - $12.99 and $5.99. I asked the clerk to use my $5 discount from the day before. I was informed I only had $1 and NOT $5. I said I was supposed to from the transaction with Mary the day before. The clerk watched the day prior and noticed that I encountered an unprofessional situation.

On 10/8/22 at approximately 6:45 pm (PST), I entered Walgreens again to find Mary at the counter again for the 2nd time. I showed her my receipt from that day. She LOUDLY repeatedly argued that: (1) I was there during the day [my receipt clearly shows evening]; [2] she had given me the $5 credit [when clearly she had not!]; (3) that I made 2 separate transactions that day [clearly they are on 1 receipt and not 2!]; (4) that she was right and I was wrong!. She took about 15 minutes berating me in front of other customers!

I tried to show her the receipt from the day I first encountered her to show

her that the transaction was not on a separate receipt. Even after showing her, she argued and said I was wrong! Very loudly I might add! I showed her the receipt the day after showing I ONLY had $1 and NOT $5. Mary LOUDLY argued I was wrong and that she gave me $5 but she would give me ANOTHER $5. She kept this up for 15 minutes! She kept up arguing I was in there during the DAY loudly when the receipt clearly shows early evening on all encounters.

I told Mary I left my return receipt in the car and would do them at the same time. She held my receipt and LOUDLY said I would do the first one NOW!

She was demeaning, impolite, loud, and extremely unprofessional.

FINALLY, at 7:00 pm (PST) on 10/8/22, she said she issued the $5 credit for the two hair colors purchased. She continued to say it was ANOTHER $5. Privately away from the store, my kid told me she may have pocketed the first one.

I told her she needed to print it out for me as I could not believe her just telling me since I never got the first one. She printed it out at 7:00 pm (PST).

NEXT, at 7:09 pm (PST); on 10/08//22 [the same night], Mary returned my drops for $5.99 purchased on the visit on 10/06/22.

I have saved all receipts. On another note, she gets very frustrated and does not appear to know what she is doing on simple purchases and/or returns.

The first night I was there, she also became agitated with me when I tried to put my phone number into the pad. It kept kicking it out. After 4 times, I turned it to the male clerk and he had the same problems many times before it took.

And on 10/8/22, Mary had problems with the system again. She blamed it on a power outage earlier in the day. I told her the system had issues the first night and then she remembered. She had me put my card in numerous times for the $5.99 refund and Mary finally realized the $1 credit I used could not be returned to my credit card after having me try 4 times! She finally realized she would have to give me a store credit card and the balance of my refund to my credit card. She should not have this position. A concern is also is she taking the rewards for herself or someone else if they are not in the customer's account?

PHOTOS of receipts are provided. Clearly none of them show my $5 rewards [to which I am entitled per posted store signs] EXCEPT the single one Mary printed. I am not sure if it was really posted to my account as the transaction after for my return also does not show the $5 rewards!

If you have trouble viewing, please contact me at [protected] and I can email them. My email is [protected]@gmail.com. Thanks!

Desired outcome: Mary should not have this position: (1) does not understand simple things relating to transactions (2) anger issues taking it out LOUDLY on customers (3) lack of experience, knowledge, and people skills (4) no customer relations skills.

Walgreens Pharmacy

Tried to get a resolution to a problem when I Phoned them at 4:45 for 2 very simple problems. At 5:10 they still could not fix, or have a solution to the mistake made by the Pharmacy. I was told by Alex that they closed at 5:00, so he could not help me solve the problem. The problem is with my insurance. When my 10 prescriptions were picked up, by a friend, the lady at the counter said my insurance was used on all prescriptions, well, I found out when I went over them they were not. I was told by Alex, when I phoned him, that it was my problem not theirs, I need to work it out with my insurance company. I have dealt with other Walgreens in other states, and this mistake has happen before. I bring in my receipt, and the fix the problem, but Alex said that couldn't be done.

Desired outcome: My insurance needs to be run to pay for the prescriptions, and large amount needs to be refunded to me.

Walgreens New black manager at 5115 south peoria store

I was in this store yesterday on Friday Oct 7th, 2022 and I had to get two shots - covid and shingles and I bought some things in the store.

The manager who is a black man and new was following me all around the store like a common criminal. May's Drug Stores when it was around years ago and because of their rotten attitude they went out of business. If he thought I was a thief he could have told me to leave my cart behind the counter. I would have been glad to do so but no he was following everywhere I spying on me, thinking I'm going to steal something. No store manager should act that way, like a stupid security guard. It's disgusting, rude and unprofessional. I have been going to that store ever since it's opened. The sales girl knows me and she did not say one word in my defense. I am a 69-year-old retiree so I must walk around with a cart, otherwise I will fall. I have been ill the past four and a half years so I don't come that often but when I do I would like to take advantage of the coupons . They may be suspicious because I use a cart but I've never been arrested in my life. I have no criminal record. I have a college degree and I have an impeccable reputation so why is this manager forming conclusions about me and he was an [censored] when he was assisting the pharmacy. Very rude. If you would like me to take my business elsewhere, I will. CVS treated me badly too and in a different manner. They refused to flag my new medications because the nurse practitioner I was seeing at the time poisoned me with Lisinopril without my consent and I have this dangerous condition, maybe Candida in my stomach for the past year and a half. CVS refused to tell m if I had new medications because the nurse gave me four medications without consulting and by right she should be in jail for malpractice, when I asked him to. So I quit going to CVS years ago and went to Walgreens. But if you don't want my business, I will take it elsewhere unless it's manager is centured and I will get an apology from him, for his unprofessionalism. In a formal letter and also an apology when I go back to the store. If this is not possible, I guess you don't want my business.

Walgreens Walgreens, 902 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC

Hello,

I want you to know that the pharmacy at this location is not efficient at all. The staff tells you different instructions on paper and an appointment doesn't mean anything at all. My husband and I went to this location for vaccines and it took almost an hour to get a flu shot. I signed up online for a shingles shot a couple of weeks earlier and when I arrived they told me they didn't have it in stock. The drive thru usually has a line and takes a long time. Needless to say, this location needs some help. We are looking for a new pharmacy because this one is too frustrating and customer service doesn't exist there.

Walgreens Pharmacy refused service

Went to pharmacy to pick up prescription for my wife, clerk asked for her address, then he date of birth. Then asked for last four digits of cell phone number, I didn't know it, so I was refused prescription. I pick up prescriptions for myself, my wife and my elderly parents. I don't know their phone numbers, and I ready don't see why I have to memorize them. If I give the name, address and birth date, that should be all that is required. In this day and age, I feel uncomfortable giving out all this info aloud for all to hear, it isn't right. I lived in the area for over 20 years. I never had any problems picking up a prescription until Walgreens took over. They call me tell me a prescription is ready, I drive there and the clerk tells me they have no record of a prescription, I tell them "you called me" and show the received call on the phone. They have no response. Now they refuse to give me the prescription because I don't know the phone number. I wasn't rude, I just said okay and have a nice day. I guess I'll have to go to CVS

Desired outcome: If I give the name, address and birthdate, that is all the info I should have to give. Thanks Ted Green [protected]@aol.com

Walgreens Pharmacy

I have to take xanax twice a day, my last prescription was filled on 9-3-22. I wrote in two days ago to request a refill (10-4-22). I had an email that said it was ready. I went to the walgreens in batesburg-leesville sc and at first they told me that it was not ready could i come back tomorrow. I live 30 miles way from there and ask could they please refill today. Then they told me that it was not refillable until today 10-6-22 which is not correct. After begging them to please refill they told me to come back in 25 minutes which i did. They give me a problem each time i refill it. The prescription is for 60 pills, i take 2 a day. What if there are 31 days in a month? i will probably change pharmacies.

Desired outcome: I NEED TO BE ABLE TO REFILL IF THE MONTH HAS 31 DAY!

Walgreens poor managment of services

I scheduled an appointment with the Pharmacy on 110 Towne Center

Dr., Lexington Ky., for a moderna and flue shot. I spent $30 dollars with uber only to find out when I get to the Pharmacy they are out of the covid shot. One would think the Pharmacy would notify the patient they were out of moderna.

I wasted 2 1/2 hours and don't forget the money I'm out of. Why do you treat ederly costomers this way.

Disappointed!

Desired outcome: RESPECT FOR THE ELDERLY

Walgreens Pharmacy

When we go to the doctor and we have to pick up pharmacy before going home, we tend to use Walgreens just because they have all of our information. We switched using Walgreens pharmacy and went out of her way to use a different pharmacy because Walgreens will not call you if your insurance gets rejected so when you’re waiting in a very long line to get to the window, they will say oh we couldn’t fill it because it said you had another insurance. So when I give them the insurance. I have to go and wait another 15 to 30 minutes for the medication while we are already 40 minutes from home. They do this all the time. The medication could have already been filled if they would’ve just called because there was an insurance issue and I could’ve given them the insurance information. But instead they wait to tell you after waiting in a line for 15 to 20 minutes and then make you wait that much longer to finally get it filled and be able to head back home which is again 40 miles home. Walgreens is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to and I regret every single time I ever choose to ever go there again. Walgreens on Madison Avenue in Mankato Minnesota sucks

Desired outcome: Have the pharmacy alert the customer that there is an issue before waiting in a long line to just wait even longer.

Walgreens online order #[protected]

October 1, 2022

Ordered online and was quoted a delivery time of 12pm to 1pm. Not sure when the order was delivered, as I never heard from the delivery person, never rang the bell, just left the order on the front porch and left. I discovered the order on my front porch around 3:45pm. Ice cream was partially melted and milk was probably warm also.

Did not receive Wahl 2 in 1 Clip 'N Trim Coded Clipper & Trimmer Haircutting Kit (79900-1501P). If items are not available, why are they offered for sale?

A. Order was delivered 2 1/2 hours later than promised

B. Items offered for sale were not delivered

C. Delivery person never contacted me

After this experience, I will probably never order online from Walgreens again.

Regards,

Very unhappy customer, Anthony Angotti

My email address is [protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: Would have liked the order delivered when it was promised, would have liked to receive all items that I ordered, and would have liked to have been contacted by the delivery person.

Walgreens Customer Service

I went into the Walgreens at 17522 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States this morning from 4am-4:21am and attempted to buy some frozen mini burgers that were on sale for $2.31 per box. At the register they rang up as $4.29 or something close to that. No problem, I explained to the clerk that the tag on the door said they were $2.31. The second clerk, who was a short older woman, told him they were $4.29. I took him back to show him the door price tag of $2.31, which he told her. She said, "No, they're $4.29." and walked away, never speaking to me. He told me "sorry, they're $4.29." He seemed to be fairly new. I told him not to worry about it and just remove them from my bag and I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Having worked customer service for more than 40 years. I was fairly aghast. If you have the wrong price on something, you acknowledge it, sell it to the customer at the price you have listed on the item in the store, and then fix the price to be correct. Not to mention the woman who appeared to be in charge never once speaking to me about it. They need some serious customer service training in this location, and I have been going in there 2-3 times a week, until now.

Walgreens #06032

I just recently went to my local Walgreens to grab a few items which is very common, I usually go to this specific location about 2-3 days weekly to grab miscellaneous items due to the convenience. Today was a horrible experience, the bath soaps are usually locked up and there is a button your press to get an associate to come and unlock it, unusually enough there was no button to press so I informed the nearest employee who was working at the cashier checkout area. I asked for assistance in the soap isle to grab some items to purchase and she stated to press the button. I informed her that there was no button to press to be able to get any assistance. She then proceeded to tell me she isn't grabbing another employee due to that not being her job. So, I realized I wouldn't be provided with any assistance so there was no point in further discussing my problem to this individual so instead I politely asked to speak to her manager. She proceeded to yell for the manager and stated " I am not checking this [censored] out, so somebody better come quick before I put my hands on her " in essence I was very upset by the aggression, and I was very lost why she was so upset if as a customer I was solely asking for assistance to purchase the items I needed. I proceeded to walk up to the manager who never came over after the employee went to tell her what the issue was and stated the vulgar things she did. The manager was of no help, I asked for the employee's name and explained the situation that just occurred. Instead of finding a solution or sympathizing with me she was very nonchalant and told me she did not know the employee's name, so I asked for the store number and asked where I was able to find the number, she failed to give me any of that information as well and just walked away from me. At this point I am extremely frustrated due to me believing the manager would resolve the issue especially when she walked up to the manager previously to tell her the situation that just occurred and threatened to physically assault me in front of her. A gentleman finally came and opened the clear case, and I grabbed the items I need and a few other items I needed throughout the store. I decided to go ahead and checkout without grabbing the additional items I needed due to the situation that just occurred I was very uneasy and uncomfortable with shopping there any longer. As I proceeded to checkout there was a new person at the checkout and as she was scanning the items the employee who threatened me walks up with all of her belongings in her hand and tells her "Yeah I'm going to wait for this white [censored] in the parking lot " She proceeded to look at me and stated, " You scared now huh". From that point I became very nervous and was fearful of what would happen if I left the store. After the cashier was done checking me out, I was uncomfortable leaving due to me having a clear shot view of outside and I see her waiting in her car with the lights on and my vehicle is parked next to hers. I decided to try to speak to the manager once again in hopes she would care about a customer's safety. As I'm speaking to the manager for the second time in the back area near the photo center, I approached her and asked if she could assist me further in regard to the situation earlier and that her employee just threatened me, and she was waiting by my car in her vehicle, and I felt uncomfortable. The manager did absolutely nothing, she asked me what I wanted her to do, and I asked if another employee could walk me to my car for my safety and she refused and stated she's unable to do that. So again, I asked for the individuals' name again and she told me she started working there a few days ago so she does not know her name. So, I realized this problem was not going to be resolved and I had no choice to walk to my car alone while I am scared for my safety. Prior to me speaking to the manager the second time, I facetimed my mother back and told her what occurred and to stay on the phone with me. As I'm exiting the store her car is parked directly in front, she proceeded to pull out and act like she was going to hit me with her vehicle her window was down and she started laughing and stated, " Yeah you scary [censored] ". I started walking faster to my car and threw my items inside and frantically pulled off to avoid any further confirmation from this Walgreens employee. As I am driving off, she pulls off in front of me and stops in the parking lot to somehow get behind me. This is my local Walgreens the store is approximately 5 minutes from my home. So, as I proceeded to exit the parking lot, she continues to follow me for about 7-10 minutes. There was not much I could do due to the traffic usually being so bad around this time in Atlanta, Georgia. After about 7-10 minutes and taking numerous turns to try to lose her she kept straight as I made a right turn and that is when I was able to snap a quick picture of her license plate. This was such a horrible traumatizing experience; I am still shaking as I am writing this. This should have never occurred over a simple request for assistance to purchase items in this store. I will no longer go back to that location regardless of the convenience. I have filed a formal complaint and have written this message in hopes someone of a higher authority is able to help me.I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem.

Desired outcome: I look forward to speaking to Walgreens Legal Team .

Walgreens Medication store #2590 Aliante Pkwy

Pharmacist Peter R never had an issue he is understanding and caring about his customers. Now has a female pharmacist. My husband has been taking medication for degenerative disc disease and will be on this type on medication for the rest of his life. He has had 3 surgeries of the spine and now a 4th. When I tried to pay cash as I always have done the female refuse to accept cash and said I had to purchase a Walgreens card in order to change to cash. So I asked you are forcing me to get something I don’t need and holding my meds hostage unless I purchase your store card, she said not forcing you just wont release the meds. So I proceed to purchase the store card. 1.5 weeks later due to my husbands spine surgery & amount of pain he is in I called to release the meds so I can once again pick them up. Same pharmacist said I can no longer take cash and I have to go thru my insurance. I explained how I have always paid cash because the insurance company does not pay for it. Upon continuing the argument that she would not release my meds again she told me maybe you should get a different insurance company and maybe you should get another doctor. These comments were unprofessional. Then I asked why she made me pay for a Walgreens store card 1.5 weeks before if they were not going to honor meds in the future she said the rules changed. So the rules change every two weeks? No care or concern for someone who just had spine surgery. Unreal. She could have handled this a different way because there were options to release a partial of the meds, but made no attempt at any offers just basically said too bad. I had to call my insurance company and my doctor. My insurance company was lied to by that pharmacist and told them I could pick up the meds the following Monday. When i went, i was denied again. Then every time I am standing in line at Walgreens there is a long wait. 10 people behind the counter and they are talking about stuff other than work or they are all filling the bins and not attending to customers waiting in line. Every time I call I am literally on hold for 30 minutes and they usually pick up the phone then hang up so I have to call again and wait again another 30 minutes if you don’t believe me I can send you the pictures with the wait times I took. I have been at this location for 10 years but I wont be another year. Rude people and constant new staff why is that? What I do not understand is if a certified medical doctor writes a prescription who is Walgreens to tell me it has to go thru insurance and I cannot pay cash. What if I don’t have insurance does that mean I am not entitled to a prescribed medication?

Desired outcome: A full written apology from the female pharmacist not the office and a full refund

Walgreens Ignored

During my dentist appointment the assistant called me in a prescription of penicillin for some infection of a root canal. I sat there in the chair at lease another hour and the another 20 minutes with the receptionist. I drive 10 minutes to the Walgreens and pull behind 3 vehicles that are already waiting. After 15 minutes the first car leaves, another 15 to 20 the second car leaves the the 3rd car sits there about 10 and leaves, I can only guess upset as he was burning the tires. I pull up and wait and wait and wait, I can see people in there one lady has looked at me several times but never acknowledged I was there. Completely being ignored at about 15 minutes I called the store, asked for the store manager not the pharmacy manager. The lady in the white coat that knew I was there but obviously didn't care heard me threw the speaker calling the manager. I told the manager why have a drive through if no one will help you, that's when the white coat rushed over and asked what I needed, I told her and she told me not ready will be another hour. So 2 and a half hours after my script was called it its still not ready? I believe I was more upset about being blatantly ignored after sitting in a line of only 3 cars for almost an hour. Very poor service, will not use Walgreens further.

Desired outcome: Script ready to pick up after almost 3 hours, be greeted with a hello we will be right with you and be spoke to professionally.

Walgreens Walgreens 299 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02145

Sunday, 09/25/2022

This has been a long time coming. I also had an incidence this past Thursday, with Kourtney (a pharmacy tech) she would not tell me if her name began with a "K" or "C." Incredibly RUDE, walked away from me, screamed at me in front of customers (at the pharmacy.) What did I do? I suggested that these pharmacists are incredibly educated people. So why is it that at 9:00 PM, the pharmacist (usually a floater) just closes up? All is left for the NEXT team, the NEXT day! I don't have to tell you how horrid this was during Covid.

TODAY:

For FOUR hours I could not get through the phone system for the pharmacy or the store! I am on a controlled substance; I was not in withdrawal. I spoke with a very nice tech in his second year at MCP, when I got there. I waited, but before I left the line was again at 16 deep, at 4:30 PM.

I spoke with yet ANOTHER person who is moving ALL of her scripts to a Somerville, MA CVS. I am moving ALL of mine to Broadway Everett, MA.

(Oh, if you pull up this site 299 Broadway, Somerville) on Google, you won't like it at all.)

Plenty of us remain upset that Joe and Ninta, the Rite Aid pharmacists who were PROMISED their jobs, then one day your suits came in and fired them! Since then, THIS Walgreens? A mess! (Well, the actual store is clean.)

I believe Kourtney should NOT work with customers in the pharmacy. (I told her that the managing Pharmacist would be charged $ 10,000.00 to his P & L, if I called her Cooperate, and she didn't care!) She kept screaming. I do not wish or hope that you lose customers, honestly. Today was simply ANOTHER day of hell at THAT Walgreens.

I happen to have a graduate degree in management (I know bid deal!) Now THIS issue? This store? This is an easy fix and I do NOT mean more floating pharmacists!

They need some TLC, and they need it NOW! So, PAY MORE! Hello?

If not, this store will continue to lose money and then close, and it will be the fault of your Cooperate.

Regrettably,

Diane M. Dowd, M.M., M.Ed.

27 Mt. Pleasant St.

Somerville, MA 02145

Desired outcome: Better service for the patrons of this Walgreens.Personally, I would not say no to DOVE Green Tea and Cucumber Body Wash!(Not expected of course!)I know these people! I don't want anyone else to lose their jobs!

Walgreens Pharmacy Staff

Lake Mills Walgreens Pharmacy

812 N Main St, Lake Mills WI 53551

I am writing to express deep concern regarding the competency of the pharmacy staff at the location in Lake Mills WI. I took a friend of mine to Walgreens to pick up an antibiotic prescription at your pharmacy. We arrived at the counter at 7:35 pm. There were no other customers present. No one appeared to be working behind the counter. We heard voices but no one came to the window for at least 2-3 minutes.

Then a woman rushed by and said , "Hang on I'll be able to help you in a few minutes" as she helped someone in the drive thru - even though we were there first.

After a while the same woman came to the window and my friend asked about her prescription that was called in by an emergency room doctor. My friend had just been released from the hospital emergency room. Noticeably irritated and seeming in a hurry, the woman dictated to us coldly that she would do the "best she could" but there was "no guarantee" that the pills would be ready and that they close at 8:00. It was 7:45.

My friend “may have to come back in the morning”. The total lack of concern or compassion with which the woman delivered this message prompted me to speak up on behalf of my friend.

We were the only customers present and there were no cars in the drive thru.

I told the employee that my friend was in pain and the doctor wanted her to get on the medication as soon as possible. She said nothing, seeming to care less. I then asked for her name. Her name was Casey. I asked for her last name and she said “P” is “all you’re getting”. She left the window and retreated back to the area with all of the medicinal products.

The pharmacist was back there, listening to the interaction but did nothing to intervene.

The prescription was for a common antibiotic that any pharmacy should have easily on hand. There were no other customers present and the woman seemed super irritated that we were there close to closing time. Had she given a valid reason, or been a tad kinder, we wouldn’t have questioned the interaction and would have found another way to get the medicine my friend needed.

If I wasn't there I think my friend would've just left and came back in the morning, forced to go against the advice and directions from her doctor to start the medicine as soon as possible. It was obvious that this woman didn't want to be inconvenienced by staying any later than she needed to.

Is it your policy to turn away people in pain and in need for their medications if it’s too close to "closing?".

A few minutes later she returned with a bag with the medication in it and curtly rang my friend up - speaking very loud and too fast to be understood. She was rushing my friend and continued to be rude and quite hostile to us. It literally took her less than 5 minutes to get the prescription. It actually appeared that it had been ready before we arrived?

This isn't the first time my friend has had problems at this pharmacy. In November of 2021 they mistakenly gave her a full dose of Moderna Covid vaccine when she went in for the booster. A bad mistake that caused her much pain and suffering as she had terrible side effects. She is 89 years old.

Perhaps some training for pharmacy staff on how to effectively work with their customers would help? People who arrive at pharmacy counters are most often under stress because they are not feeling well and could use a professional who understands how to treat people with compassion.

I am considering letters to the editor of local papers and to the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services about the lack of competency and compassion your pharmacist and pharmacy tech provide to their customers.

It is a disgrace how my friend was treated and I'm sure she isn't the only one being treated badly by this staff.

I expect to hear back as soon as possible as to what your plans are regarding this incompetent service and rude employees for the customers who come to you seeking help and an ounce of compassion.

Desired outcome: A phone call regarding any actions taken on how to solve the problem with the incompetence of the pharmacy staff and their disregard for your customers at the pharmacy counter.

You are speaking my exact sentiment. No one at any Walgreens, and I go to many as I live and work in multiple cities. Walgreens everywhere here in California give you the worst customer service, CVS is right behind them. Again today I have called for hours only to go thru prompts, listen to all the covid and flu shot crap (how many times can you listen to the same unwanted recording with no option to skip forward?), and then get disconnected anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. I have waited for over a week sometimes for Walgreen to fill my prescription or not carry the medication but never call you to tell you that, so that you could have it transferred to another pharmacy, They repeated fill my prescriptions wrong, sometimes I have to go back twice if I don't actually look at the prescription in the bag before I leave. Their staff, as you wrote above, could care less and yes, they are most always rude.
