I have been taking the same medication for four or five years paying $10.76. In September 2022 my husband went to pick it up and used the drive through the cashier (Holly) handed him the prescription saying $117 maybe more, surprised he asked how much $117? She answered in a revolting way saying I can't help what Good RX charges. At that point we realized CVS was not using the insurance. When he returned home, I called the store and asked to speak with the Pharmacist (Pam) and was told she had stepped out. Holly was rude and speaking with a scornful voice like I was nobody instead of a customer. I did not appreciate this and became insulted, and I told her so. Then the Pharmacist (Pam) takes the phone and yelled like she was in the woods she was there all along for she told me that she had heard the conversation between Holly and me. The conversation became so strained it upset me beyond perturbed. I began thinking this is My Pharmacist, nearly unable to go I went anyway, and apologized to the both of them even though I didn't think I did anything wrong. They excepted my apology I didn't get one. I stopped getting text from them that my medication was ready for pickup. That upset me so I dreaded calling them for anything. I spoke with the manager he said he would fix it. I never heard anything from him. In October we went to pick up the medication and the Pharmacist (Jason) said it would be at least an hour. We did some errands and returned about an hour and a half later. When we asked for it, the cashier said about an hour. I looked and told her we had been waiting an hour and a half. Jason hearing this said it had just been called in.
I couldn't believe my ears. I had always thought of Jason as not only my pharmacist but a very caring person. I guess I was wrong. While I write this I am literally crying because I had to go to CVS CAREMARK for delivery. My insurance prefers CVS. There is no personal pharmacist to speak with about concerns. It is harmful to one's health when you're in a stressful situation such as this. It caused me to have heart palpitations and some panic attacks. I have a nervous problem and they know that from my medications. I have severe arthritis in my back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. The nerve roots in my spine are pinched, causing debilitating pain.
I am actually in hopes CVS will not only apologize but to compensate me in some way. The issues are way more than I can type here.
Desired outcome: Compensation for the stress and anxiety CVS Pharmacy caused me to have.
